Update on NSG. This will be a PDGA 'XC' tier sanctioned event... trophy only.
The definition for a 'pro player' for the NSG is someone who makes enough money from their winning to support themselves. Disc golf is different from most sports in that there is not enough money in our events for anyone to support themselves The very top players barely win enough to support their disc golf habit.
If we get sufficient turnout, disc golf could be given full sport status. At that point, players would have to pre-qualify in their state events to play in future National Senior Games. There will be a meeting during after the first day for anyone interested in helping to promote Senior Games in their state and Region.
