Welcome to the Michigan Tournament of Champions presented by Team Stony, Disc Golf For A Cause and Discraft.

You've qualified to be playing with an entire event filled with players who have won a sanctioned singles event in Michigan in the last two years. Congratulations!

We have $1000 added cash for the pros, gorgeous trophies for all the winners, two free Mystery boxes from DGFAC for all am players only and some beautiful custom Discraft for a small payout after the round. After that get to we tryout Link Discs new disc golf simulator which will be on site!

Sunday Check in:
All players please check in at the pavilion when you arrive. Ams please pick up your player packs before you tee off.
Everyone please double check to see what extras you may have ordered so we can keep the line moving. You can also pick up your player pack at lunch if you need to.

After you check in, sign into the digital scoring app and be at your starting hole on the Green course before tee off at 9:30.

Starting Holes:
Players are still signing up as I write this email so please make sure to double check your starting hole TOMORROW MORNING in case we've moved more ppl around.

Player Packs:
ALL player packs include a color glow Buzzz, Zanfel 2 pack and a small microfiber towel. If you registered after Oct 7 and didn't get a colored hoodie in your player pack, you'll get your choice of custom Z disc and a custom towel or base line disc.

OB:
Green course:
Hole 5 & 6 - surrounded by water.
Hole 7 - over the fence down the entire left side of the fairway.
Hole 11 - OB on the bathroom and surrounded by any pavement there near the bathrooms.
OB on or over any road or parking lot.

Blue course OB:
On or over pavement or over the fence on hole 10.

Round two will start about 1 hour after the last card finishes round 1.

Post Round:
- Group Picture
- Raffle drawing
- 50/50
- Ace pool winner
- Pro Payouts (cash on site)
- Am payouts
- Winners pics and interviews

Raffle:
6 disc McBeth Midnight Ledgestone collector disc set.
$5 - One ticket
$10 - Four tickets

Link Disc Golf will have their disc golf simulator on site for some post round fun.

Remember, provisionals are your friend if there is a questionable call on your card!

Its official. The TOC will be held exclusively at Stony Creek. We have 1/2 of 1 course filled 12 days before tee off. Good ole River Bends will have to wait. Stony is still in tournament shape anyway and is playing absolutely great.

There are no more caps on specific divisions.
The event cap is now 72 players with 41 registered as of today.

Format and layouts:
9:30 Tee off
Round 1 will be on Green
Long tees - MPO, FPO, MP40, MP50, BLUE<970
Short tees - All other divisions

Round 2 will be on Blue
Long tees - MPO, FPO, MP40, MP50h
Short tees - All other divisions

Thank you for understanding as we try to adapt to this current tournament-rich environment we have going on here in Michigan. Good luck to all of you champions playing against some of the best and most dedicated players in the state.

I talked to the parks today. There is no reason to use 2 courses w only 38 players signed up with less than 2 weeks to go. Unless there is a huge increase in registration in the next 24 hrs or so we will play the event at Stony Creek ONLY.

This means there will be a lot fewer spots available. Still plenty as of now but Id get registered asap if you want to be a part of this first year.

The division caps will be lifted and there will be just one cap for the entire event at 72 players.

Tournament Update

Discraft, our apparel company and the park departments all have tournament deadlines that are coming up. With just 23 players signed up less than 30 days from the event, we're making a couple of necessary changes.

We've decided to only use Stony Creek and River Bends and cap the event at 72 players per course. Seymour Lake will be our backup venue.

Here's how the division caps look as of today with the 144 player cap.

Both Discraft and Metro Detroit Screen gave me the deadline of October 7. Thats our deadline. If you're not registered by then you may not get event merch. You'll still get a player pack but we can't guarantee you'll get custom swag.

Online registration is now open for all 2024 winners who beat at least 1 other player at the event they won.

Just so you know, all 4 Amateur divisions are capped at 36 players!

The next tier of registration opens July 1st.
