Location: The course is located within the Holly Recreation Area State Park (Day Use, Not Campground). From I-75 take exit 101, head east on Grange Hall Rd, passing over Dixie Highway, continue 1 mile to McGinnis Rd. Turn right onto McGinnis Rd and continue 0.75 mile to the park entrance on the right. Go straight after clearing park ranger booth. There is a brown sign for the Sunset Ridge Pavilion shortly followed by the Holly Woods Disc Golf Couse sign. Either entrance will get you into the parking lot. The event HQ is located in the Sunset Ridge Pavilion which is next to the disc golf course. There is a cost to get into the park if you do not have a Recreation Passport on your license plate.
Player check in is at the pavilion. There are 3 groupings for player check in. 6-8, 10-12, 15-18. Please use the appropriate one as we have tried to have heavier discs for the older players and lighter discs for the younger players.
We are raffling off a Discraft Chainstar Lite and a Zuca cart. There will be two winners drawn, one for each. The first person has a choice of the two items. Tickers are $2 each or 3 for $5. We will draw the winners before the start of Round 2.
Format: MJ06/08 and FJ06/08 will only be playing in 1 round per the Youth Safety provision of the PDGA Completion Manual. All other divisions will be playing 2 rounds. All rounds will be played on the Original 18 Holes from the concrete teepads.
We are using PDGA Live Scoring for this event. We are asking that the top player on the card has their guardian keep score with the group. I also have a paper scorecard as a second method of keeping score. Anyone else in the group may keep the score for the group. Following the round, please compare both totals prior to submitting the scores. The website is

Payouts: As advertised, there are no payouts at the end of the event as this event is a True Amateur event which we firmly believe is the most appropriate type of event for a Junior Championship. All players will receive a very large player pack, lunch, & participate in the Ring of Fun during lunch. Every player will be receiving something in this big merchandise give away.
Mosquitoes are at a moderate level. You for sure want to bring some bug repellant.
We will have staff out on the course assisting your groups with any issues that you have throughout the day. They are not assigned 1:1 per group so they will be floating around between 2-4 groups. If you have any questions, problems, or concerns please let them know. They most likely will be able to address your issue.
Youth Safety: The PDGA has incorporated a section into the Competition Manual dealing with Junior Level Play. It was alluded to in the About Section and Comment section on DiscGolfScene. Here is the section in its entirety for your use. Please read this prior to coming to the event as it will have a direct impact on the event. Compliance with this will have a direct impact everyone having a positive tournament experience, your cooperation is needed and appreciated!
