DIVISIONS / DATES:

Everyone is playing one round on Saturday November 7th and Sunday November 8th on predetermined tee times.

LATE WITHDRAWAL / NO-SHOW

At this point, it is too late to receive a refund. However, if you notify me at 785-764-2229 prior to Round One’s tee time, you will still receive your player pack for an Amatuer. It’s not required, but I appreciate the heads up. No call, no show forfeits your player pack and entry fee.

To cancel, text or call your name and division, with a comment you are canceling to 785-764-2229.

PARKING - VERY IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ

At Gardner Disc Golf Course, DO NOT PARK AT THE BALL GOLF COURSE PARKING LOT. Our ability to continue to use the disc golf course for tournaments will depend on being cooperative with the ball golf course. They do not want you to park in their lot. If you are towed, that is your problem.


At Gardner, we will be starting at course Hole 3. There is a temporary parking lot next to and north of Hole 3. Please park perpendicular to the parking lot flags.





For Black Hoof and Heritage, there should be ample parking.

RESTROOMS

Gardner has a portable toilet at Hole 3 (starting hole). It is also is accessible between course holes 15 & 16 (event holes 13 / 14).


Heritage historically has a portable restroom once they close the bathrooms for the season.


Black Hoof restrooms have been closed for the season. There is a portable restroom next to them.

CHECK-IN

All player packs must be picked up at Maverick Disc Golf store in Olathe. We are located at:
623 N Central St. Ste C
Olathe KS 66061


The store is open Mon - Sat 9:30 - 6pm, Sun Noon - 4pm


Amateur player pack includes a 4-color screen printed long sleeve shirt, 2-foil Innova disc, a Christmas mini, and a sticker.


Pros - if you visit the store you can also have a Christmas mini and sticker as well.

SCORING

We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system. (This is not Udisc). To access it, go to pdga.com/score. Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number, and the card will pull up. I will have paper scorecards as a backup. You can also use udisc as a backup. However, to submit the scores, it needs to be done through the PDGA scoring system.

Hole lengths, pars, and OB rules are listed in the PDGA app while you are keeping score. They are attached to this email as well. You can also find them on dgscene event page under the Documents Tab.

WEATHER CONDITIONS


I don’t expect this to be an issue but including it just in case.

We will follow the PDGA Competition Manual (Rules) regarding adverse weather conditions which can be found here:

Basically, we play rain or shine. If there is lightning or hail, I will blast an air horn three times, and will continue to repeat it. If the horn has been used, mark your lie with a rock, stick in the mud, etc. to be able to resume play when the weather delay is over. Play will resume 30 minutes after the last lightning strike. If a Tornado Watch or Warning has been issued by NOAA, we will suspend play until the watch is over. If the Watch or Warning is long enough that we will not be able to finish, the results will be official after the first round.


IF YOU NEED TO WITHDRAW

If you decide for any reason that you don’t or can’t play the second round, please tell Rob, the Tournament Director. This is crucial as it will affect others on how the second round is organized. You can text me at 785-764-2229.

ACE / CTP FUND

Because this event is tee time based, we do not have an Ace / CTP fund.

AWARDS / PAYOUTS

To decrease the amount of congregation we will not have a formal awards ceremony. The awards will be given to the winner after the second round as soon as your division finishes.

PRO PAYOUTS can be either a check mailed to you (free), or PayPal Goods and Services (winner pays fees) based on what you chose during registration. The pros will be finishing at Black Hoof while Rob will be at Gardner both days.

AM PAYOUTS have the choice of the following:


Redeemed at the Olathe store before the end of the year
Online code to be used at my webstore maverickdiscgolf.com. If you choose the webstore, it will charge you shipping and sales tax on what is beyond the payout code.

As a reminder, All Recreational and Junior are player pack and trophy only with no additional payout. (MA3, FA3, and all Juniors)

PDGA POSTING

My goal is to have the 'official' results posted to the PDGA within 24 hours.

Preliminary information for Maverick Disc Golf Championship

Look for a longer email on Friday that will have loads of information, but a couple of quick hits here:

1. Player packs can only be picked up at the Maverick Disc Golf shop. We are located at 623 N Central St, Olathe, KS 66061. (https://maps.app.goo.gl/dkzVeN6v1pTkyBGi8)

2. Packs can be picked up Wednesday - Saturday 9:30 - 6, Sunday Noon - 4.

3. All amateurs that registered prior to October 6th were guaranteed their shirt size. All other amateurs, shirt sizes are on a first come first serve basis.

4. Pro divisions - you also can get one of the Maverick's annual disc golf mini/Christmas ornament at the shop.

5. Tee times won't be posted until Friday afternoon.

September 22, 2025 Update to entry into the Maverick Disc Golf Championship.

Players that have already earned a free entry have been registered. There is nothing more you need to do for now.

Players that have already earned a reduced fee entry have been put on the reserved list by their name and PDGA number. What you need to do: I would recommend you register now to lock in your registration and submit your shirt size (for amateurs). If you contact me I can give you a 50% discount code. If you end up earning a free entry I will refund you the entry fee you paid.

Players that have 3 to 5 points that could win a reduced fee but have not yet done so. What you need to do: I would recommend you register now to lock in your registration and submit your shirt size (for amateurs). If you end up earning a reduced entry fee I will refund you the the 50% you paid.

Players that have 2 or less points, you won’t be able to earn a reduced fee, but are still welcome to register. There are approximately 35 spots per Pool that will open up on Friday, September 26 at 6am.

Other important dates:
Monday October 6, 2025 10 AM - cutoff for guaranteed shirt size
Wednesday October 8, 2025 11:59PM - cutoff for full refund
Monday October 20, 2025 10 AM - removal of unpaid reservations and waitlists adjusted
Sunday, October 26, 2025 11:59PM - cutoff for refund with $10 handling fee. Requests for refund after this date will only be granted if the spot is filled from a waitlist for that pool.
Saturday, November 4, 2025 11:59PM - No refunds will be issued after this point (except those on the waitlist)

Registration for the Maverick Disc Golf Championship opens tonight, Sunday September 14, 2025 at 8pm.

As of today, 21 players have earned a free entry into the Championship. Another 43 players could possibly earn a free entry. I have reserved 50 spots to make sure there are enough for those that earn a free entry outright. If you earn a free entry I guarantee you will have a spot. The guarantee is only for those that have earned a free entry.

Capacity is limited to 116 players leaving 45 spots available when registration opens. For those players that are not sure they will earn a guaranteed free entry, my recommendation would be to register for the event or register for the waitlist when the event fills. I will then refund you if you earn the reduced fee or free entry.

Again - for those that could possibly earn a free entry, your entry is guaranteed IF you do end up earning that free entry. If you don’t end up winning a free entry, your entry is not guaranteed.

For those that could possibly earn a reduced fee, I would recommend registering and when you do earn that reduced fee I’ll refund you the difference.

If you already have earned the reduced fee, you can message me and I’ll give you a code now to use.

These are the rules regarding the Free Entry portion of the Maverick Disc Golf Series:
“The second part is for a free entry into the Maverick Disc Golf Championship (MDGC). If you have 10 points or more in this part you will get a free entry into the B-tier finale based on the division you have the most points in. If you have 7 points or more you will get a 50% reduction of the entry fee into the MDGC. All amateurs will still receive the entire player pack for the MDGC, even if they earn a free or reduced-fee entry. All pros will still receive all of the benefits of a B-tier (i.e. the same added cash) as if they paid a full priced entry. The points for this part will be as follows:

B-tier: 3 points
C-tier: 2 points
One Round C-tier: 1 point”
