We're one day away from camping/playing and I just wanted to go over some details about the weekend:
First and foremost is the "Leave no trace" rule. Please please please come prepared to carry out any garbage you bring in. This includes cigarette butts if you smoke! Don is gracious enough to lend us this property at no cost to us disc golfers so it's critical that we treat his property with respect. No breaking branches on trees or manipulating the coures in any way.
If you plan on practicing please reach out to Don and make him aware of what time you would be arriving. This allows him to meet you, give you a run down of the rules, and help out with course guidance. (You can find is info on Udisc)
Carpool if at all possible, there is limited space for parking.
There is 1 bathroom and 1 porta potty available on the course for use. No showers.
We can swim in the pond so bring a bathing suit if you would like to swim!
We plan on playing a round of glow disc golf Saturday night for the campers, if you have glow plastic make sure you bring it! Buckley made me aware of glow sticks used for fishing bobbers that make a good substitue if you don't have glow plastic.
We will be shortening a few holes for the women's divisons, these locations will be deteremined tomorrow when I do a course walk-through.
Important - There is no potable water, come prepared with enough water. Also, I would recommend bringing lunch for Sunday because there are no food options within 10 miles of the property.
If you have any questions, please reach out to any of the Tournament Director's! I can't wait for the weekend!
