Just sorted out all the donations for 4th-8th place payouts. They all range from $140-$160 worth of merchandise. Lots of cool stuff in there, discs, hats, hoodies, growlers, brewery coupons, golf vouchers, stickers, disc golf bags, minis.....you get the idea. Thanks to all of our sponsors, B&B Water, Blue Gill, Open Road Brewery, Waldorf Brew Pub, GR Hobby and Disc, Yankee Springs Golf Course, 616 Discs, and of course the GLBA and The Gun Lake Winterfest for having us. Just one week away. Looks like we are going to have some nice weather so even outside the tent it will be nice. GR Hobby is hooking us up with a basket to use during the event as well as a stack of loaner putters if anyone is short of 10. Of you are short some please let me know in advance and I can make sure I have enough to go around. We have had some great donations coming in from the breweries that will be in the tent selling their beer. 4th-8th place will all be paid in merchandise player packs donated. All of them so far and I expect it to co TI he all the way to 8th retail over $100 and we still have more coming in. I'll be postin a video on our Facebook page, with a full round with this events format for those of you who are still wondering how it all works. We still have a few open spots as well so tell your friends. Ideally 32 teams makes a perfect double elimination bracket but if we don't fill we have another format ready where everyone will still be guaranteed 2 matches no matter what. Also don't forget a non perishable food item to donate and get a free beer ticket.

Had a meeting with the Gun Lake Winterfest committee and got a little more info on what's happening with the beer tent. First off you must be 18 to be in the tent so as of now you must be 18 to play. I don't think anyone is under 18 that is currently registered so that shouldn't be an issue. There will be 5-10 breweries inside the tent. Beer tickets can be purchased at the door 15 for $20. Each ticket is for a 3oz sample so for $20 you are getting 45oz of brewery beer which is about 4 normal sized beers that normally would cost $24-$40 at a brewery depending on the beer. All beer will be 1 ticket regardless of brand or flavor. They are also doing a can drive so if you bring a non perishable food item you will receive a free beer ticket as well. You can drink as much as you'd like inside the tent but you cannot be drinking while you are putting. So before after or in between matches you are free to get as many beers as you'd like just none allowed in the competition area. Other than that we are set to go. The tent is heated and 40x80 so we will have one whole end to ouselves for the competition. If anyone has any questions I'd be glad to clear them up.
