We will probably start cooking sausages around 10:00. I will have a grill and a Blackstone griddle set up. The grill will be for vegan sausages. The griddle will cook meat.

The times above are NOT set in stone, do not represent the order in which the divisions will tee off within the time block, and might change radically. You will get specific tee assignments the evening of Thursday, June 3. You will get an email if your time changes - due to, say, drops rendering your prior assignment a group of two - subsequent to my Thursday email. I have done my best to accommodate all card requests that were submitted.

The Thursday email will also contain the caddy sheet, players' meeting video (mandatory viewing), a course map, and a sample scorecard. I will have ONE rules sheet and paper scorecard per group on Saturday, so if you want your own, you may print it out at home. The Thursday email will also contain the code to access the PDGA Digital Scorecard (not UDisc).

You are responsible for all information in the Thursday email. If you ask me something that is readily answerable by the players' meeting video or rules sheet, you will either get a cheerful answer or a blank stare, depending on how often I've been asked the question. Please understand that it gets frustrating to field the same question all day from people who have not read the materials I've carefully prepared.

However, I also make mistakes! So if you've checked the stuff I provided you and don't see the answer, please let me know and we will work it out together.

Buns are vegan. I have Beyond sausages for the vegans. I have chicken apple, chicken bacon pineapple, and chicken mozzarella and herb for the meat eaters. I use chicken sausages because they are pre-cooked, so safer to prepare en masse. The one with mozzarella obviously has dairy (and looks very different than the others); the two other flavors do not.

Water is staged. The Digital Scorecard will have my phone number so you can alert me if we run low on water at one of the stations.

Tomorrow is Death to Sausage Fest! If you're receiving this email, you're either playing or waitlisted (I include the waitlisters just in case there are last-minute drops). This email contains important information, so please read carefully.

First: it is going to be hot. Start hydrating right now, for real. Bring all the water you can carry. If you have a bag/cart that carries more water than your other bag(s)/cart(s), use that one. We will have water on the course. It will not be enough for you to simply rely on that to stay hydrated. At Howling Gale, we had one drop due to heat and a couple close calls. Water will be near hole 1's white tee, hole 7's white tee, and on the hole 8/16 side of the run, probably near 8's white tee.

There's also a lot of poison ivy on the course right now. Here's how to identify it and how to wash up when you get home. Players may take casual relief from poison ivy. You might think you're immune, but that can change.

Next, please review my first batch of info, which is in a sticky in the DGS comments. Next, review the players' meeting video (for my deaf players: the video contains no dialogue; all rules are in captions) for course rules and hole-specific rules. The caddy sheet and a scorecard, as well as a course map, are all attached to this email. We are playing all short to long except holes 2 and 13, which will be long to short. Finally, double-check your tee time assignment.

In addition to the course-specific rules, please also ensure that you are familiar with the PDGA Rules of Play, especially the ones cited in the players' meeting video.

Tournament Central will be near 13's white tee at the Laurel Hill Park Central Green. Please check in with me when you arrive at the course. You may warm up on the practice basket near Tournament Central or in the field at the Central Green, but you may not warm up on the course. AMs, please arrive in time to pick up your player pack disc. We will have MVP Waves and Axiom Insanities available. PROs, your projected payouts are here.

I will call the two-minute signal for your group and meet you at hole 12's red tee. There, I will provide you with a paper scorecard and paper rules sheet and make sure any questions you have are answered. Official scoring for this tournament will be the PDGA Digital Scorecard. The access code is PORK. The paper scorecard is your backup and must be reconciled with the Digital Scorecard before submitting scores (CM 1.05.G).

Foss and I will start cooking sausages around 10:30am. We will have a grill for the vegan sausages and a griddle for the meat sausages. Each player gets two (2) sausages in the style - vegan or meat - that you selected at registration. It might seem like there are a lot of sausages and it doesn't matter what you take. Remember that there are 104 players, two staff, and two volunteers to feed. We will have individual packets of brown mustard, chili garlic sauce, and relish, chips, and Gatorade. BYOK.

Two safety notes:

The Giles Run Meadow Park Volunteer Team will be holding their monthly L.I.D. event in the area around Hole 13's silver basket. They will be working and playing music. Please be judicious in your upshots to the red basket and call "fore!" if it even appears like your shot might go long. They have agreed to stay out of the way and ensure they don't interfere with play, and we have agreed to play long to short to allow them to work. If you like the effects their work is having (invasive removal, weedwacking, etc.) say thanks (or consider a donation via PayPal to [email redacted]).

*Hole 15 will have two spotters: Brandon Tinsley and James Bier. Those spotters will be responsible for directing you when it's safe to throw. Red flag means do not throw. Green flag means go ahead. Once you've thrown, the spotters will be available to assist you with finding discs. They will signal OB (red flag), safe (green flag) or too close to call/card call (both flags). They are not officials and cannot make the call for you, but you can ask them for assistance. Be nice to the spotters. Because the spotters are there, feel free to use the cut-through path from the long basket back to 15 red's fairway after holing out.
