Players,
Dragonfly Upshot is a two round shotgun start event at Dragonfly DGC Saturday 6/11.
All players must sign in. Sign in at parking lot 7:30am till 8:30am. Onsite TD is Tim Fanning & Quinten Scott is assisting him.
Amateur player package and prizes will be mailed out next week.
Your starting hole for the round is listed at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/60415. In the morning check again your starting hole to confirm nothing has changed. Changes should be very unlikely and only if absolutely needed.
Some cards may have 3 people; if it is time to start and you only have 1 or 2 people you cannot start; wait where you are for the next group and play with them keeping scores separate. The person who does not show up gets par plus four for every hole they miss.
Each card must have two people keeping score. Open person must keep score via the PDGA website and another person any other way you want. Udisc is a common way for the second person to keep score.
We have set up layouts on the PDGA site. PDGA.comscores code Dragonfly
For OB rulings, group decision is needed. If you can’t decide, give the benefit to the player; when in doubt play a provisional. Player must declare loudly they are playing a provisional.
Keep an eye on where you land. You only get 3 minutes to search for your disc before it is officially lost.
No two-meter rule; no special island rules. Everything is standard PDGA rules. All typical course OB and manods are in effect. You will be playing the 19-hole layout. After hole 10 then play hole 11a then hole 11.
Bring plenty of water; and this may be a good time for this year to wear sunscreen & bug spray.
For any first-place tie breaker playoffs, start hole 1.
For the side games, if you did not pay online, you can pay as you sign in. First any player who has paid into the side games and hits an ace gets $200. Additionally, after both rounds are over, a special CTP for side games participants will happen on hole 18 and the winner will get mailed $80 of merchandise.
Be prepared to start the second round 45 minutes after you arrive back at your vehicle after your first round. Card members will be shuffled between rounds.
Garry Young & Mike Saimond, thank you for your sponsorship. It will greatly help with all the shipping.
