Tomorrow when you get your wrist band, make sure it is on your body somewhere. Not on your bag or your cart or back in the car. It does not have to be on your wrist, but can be on your shoes, belt loop, but it must be on you at all times on the property. It is a requirement of the property owner and you will not tee off if you are not wearing it. That is literally the first thing I will ask to see at the starter meeting before you tee.

Im sure there are a lot of disappointed people out there. We expect things to happen as planned. But guess what - circumstances outside my control happen every day of my life and plans/expectations have to be modified. I’m absolutely positive MB evaluated all sides of this issue and made a just decision based on play fairness and safety. What can we do - dont be that guy and ruin it for your mates, accept the best decision was made and be glad you didn’t have to make ... more

What can we do - dont be that guy and ruin it for your mates, accept the best decision was made and be glad you didn’t have to make it, its one round- throw all you got into 1 round and see what kind of competitor you really are, consider yourself blessed as many could not make this tournament and would easily swap places with you right now if they could.

The cancellation is difficult to swallow considering the amount of money spent to be here and the vacation days used to be off of work to support this event. While the decision must have been difficult, it is frustrating to know that weather in Florida is constantly changing and the front has only been predicted to arrive earlier and earlier. No extra compensation in the players pack is disappointing and frankly I will find it difficult to show up early in following years just to pay the course ... more

The cancellation is difficult to swallow considering the amount of money spent to be here and the vacation days used to be off of work to support this event. While the decision must have been difficult, it is frustrating to know that weather in Florida is constantly changing and the front has only been predicted to arrive earlier and earlier. No extra compensation in the players pack is disappointing and frankly I will find it difficult to show up early in following years just to pay the course fees and have the first round potentially be canceled days in advance. I honestly don’t understand what the point of paying $110 is if the rug can be pulled from under the players like this. If this is due to pdga rules, it would be nice to see an adjustment where half the value of the tournament is refunded and half the value of the players pack is removed. It is hard to be happy paying that much for 4 days of parking and green fees plus the entry fee just for 1 round of rated play and a players pack.

Why not do a flex start on Friday? 5 bucks? Make it a little more worth our trip/accommodations and what-not. People have been here days out getting ready for this. Is this possible?

Several factors have come into making this decision including fairness to all players (morning players will have drastically different weather than those in the afternoon), the safety of the players (both on the course, during the storms and also traveling to and from the course) and lastly, preserving the course for play on Sunday. Saturday Practice: With the cancellation of the round on Saturday, we will be opening the course for practice sometime in the early afternoon on Saturday. The opening time will be emailed out to all competitors once we know the time. The course will ONLY be open to players that are registered for the Weekend 2 Tournament, no exceptions! There will be no greens fees, but the normal parking fees will still apply.

Mach Lite Basket Drawing: As an additional bonus, all players who compete in the event will be entered into a drawing to win a DGA Mach Lite Portable Basket!
