The cancellation is difficult to swallow considering the amount of money spent to be here and the vacation days used to be off of work to support this event. While the decision must have been difficult, it is frustrating to know that weather in Florida is constantly changing and the front has only been predicted to arrive earlier and earlier. No extra compensation in the players pack is disappointing and frankly I will find it difficult to show up early in following years just to pay the course fees and have the first round potentially be canceled days in advance. I honestly don’t understand what the point of paying $110 is if the rug can be pulled from under the players like this. If this is due to pdga rules, it would be nice to see an adjustment where half the value of the tournament is refunded and half the value of the players pack is removed. It is hard to be happy paying that much for 4 days of parking and green fees plus the entry fee just for 1 round of rated play and a players pack.
