Angel - Yes, there will be better communication next year. Anytime that we go in to a new area where we are not familiar with the courses, local preferences, local contacts, parks departments, and so forth, there are always going to be minor problems that we have to battle though.

This was a great year for the Dynamic Discs crew to get our 'feet wet' and better direction for what to do next year. We realize the value and importance of Disc Golf Scene to keep things posted and updated. We are already looking forward to next year and the planning process has already started.

We did want to get some feedback about a different tournament format that wouldn't be so grueling for the average player. 48 holes of golf on Saturday in a tournament setting can be quite a bit. We wanted to get some feedback regarding playing three rounds of 18 instead of three rounds of 24. With this format we would also feature a final 9 on Sunday for all divisions that had four or more players. We have done three events like this now in KS and TX and the response has been very favorable. The final 9 is a great chance for a friend to caddy and players to spectate.

Let us know your thoughts. Basically, we would just be removing the letter holes which seem to create a back up problem for the Monster course anyway.

I hope that to make next year better there will be better communication on this website by DD so people know what is going on since a lot of people use this website and not the PDGA website. I hope there is better communication with the local clubs and parks so course maintenance can be done in a timely manner and not waiting to the last minute to get it done. I would like to see the toboggan course used next year for sure that could be awesome but it would have to be before AM Nats so that way they are not putting in the course and taking it out and then putting it back in. Also, it would be nice to be able to see the PROs during the event. This year none of the AMs got to see any of the PROs and it would be really nice especially if the really big named PROs started coming back like Val, Avery, Nate, and Dave. That is just my little two cents about next year.

Thanks to those that came out to the 2012 Discraft Great Lakes Open! We hope that you feel like the tournament was a great value and positive experience. We are already planning for 2013 and know that this event is back on track to be one of the biggest and best in the country. Your support is essential to the growth of DGLO and we hope to have you make this event a 'must' on your 2013 calendar.

The Discraft Great Lakes Open featured a great players pack and increased payout thanks to the generous sponsorship and support from Discraft! We hope you enjoyed receiving the not yet released Titanium Wasp and Glo Zone that Discraft provided to add even more value to the event.

A special thanks also goes to Bill Gilbert and the A3 Disc Golf Club who took the time to set up the Camp Canoe course and made sure that water was available during play.
