I've finally recovered from 96 holes in a foot of snow in freezing temperatures over two days. Thanks, Larry and your staff, for a very enjoyable weekend. I love coming up for the CPC. Awesome player package by the way ... knit Discraft logo hat, two premium discs, and a sweet memento blanket with the course layout on it. CPC is a great way to start the tournament year and well worth my time and money to be part of it. Always a great value. And hitting an ace was bonus! Keep up the great work. I look forward to playing another event soon.

Why isn't my second rounds card reported?

Larry LaBond   February 7, 2022 at 5:25pm

Not sure why it wasn't posted, but I got it cleaned up and it is there now.

Matthew Heminger   February 7, 2022 at 8:32pm

Awesome, thank you again for all the hard work you and your team put in to make this happen!

Larry LaBond   February 9, 2022 at 3:47pm

Besides the obvious, what are the conditions of the course like right now? Cart friendly?

Nice

Kinda boots ma4 with 18 gets one another division with 22 gets 3 and a division with 9 gets 2.... how's that fair

FA2 is the only women's division to get any berths all weekend and an extra incentive for women is the right call imo. But I do understand.

Jason Storm   February 3, 2022 at 1:16pm

This discourages "sandbagging" and encourages people to play in higher divisions.

Larry LaBond   February 3, 2022 at 2:19pm

MA4 is getting 1 berth exclusively. I'm not having the MA60 compete for it. MA4 is supposed to be a total beginner division. There are perks to the higher divisions, better payout being one of them. If you want to compete for more berths then move to a higher division. I've traditionally have never even offered MA4.

Will ribbons be allowed if the snow accumulated is still pretty deep?

Larry LaBond   February 2, 2022 at 2:30pm

Yes, ribbons are allowed.

Josh Haigh   February 3, 2022 at 3:28am

Thank you sir!

Justin Draughn    February 2, 2022 at 1:59pm

Maybe a silly question but if I sign up for waitlist and nobody drops, will I be refunded or will the money be applied to a future tournament?

Larry LaBond   February 2, 2022 at 2:16pm

You would be refunded, but we just had a few drops. So, there are a couple spots for each day available right now.

Justin Draughn   February 2, 2022 at 3:26pm

I actually came back to check and saw the openings. Just signed up for my first tourney. Thank you very much!

Larry LaBond   February 2, 2022 at 3:56pm

Sure thing. Good luck this weekend!

Larry LaBond    February 1, 2022 at 3:39pm

Since there are questions over this, here is the berth distribution if it were with the field as of this posting. (10 berths for Sunday)

MA40 - 3 berths
MA2 - 4 berths
FA2 - 2 berths
MA4 - 1 berth
MA60 - is eligible for the MA40 and/or MA4 berths if their score qualifies them. Priority for the MA4 berth

If it was last year, then it probably still is. My mistake.

Matthew Heminger   February 1, 2022 at 10:41pm

I got confirmation that the divisions will be the same as last year MA/FA1-4 and MA/FA 40,50,60. Does that change anything about getting a guaranteed berth for MA4? With nearly 20% of the field, I had assumed that there would be one.

Larry LaBond   February 2, 2022 at 2:15pm

Okay, I will have the MA60 only compete for a share of the MA40 berths.

Just want to remind people with the new rules you are going to have to be a pdga memeber to play states this year. All B-Tiers and higher require a pdga membership and are states is a B-Tier

Berths aren't division specific. So, they can win a berth in MA4 and play states in MA1.

Larry LaBond   February 1, 2022 at 3:33pm

I'm actually going to post an announcement about this.

Matthew Heminger   February 2, 2022 at 4:02am

MA4 is a division at states and was last year as well.
