PSA for hole 2 at Dog River: 2 yellow jacket nests on the fairway. Went out to play Dog River today for the first time to try an acclimate myself to the course before tournament day...halfway through hole 2 I got picked apart by yellow jackets. Stung 20+ times and the swarm surrounded my bag for the better part of 15 minutes. Luckily I ran into Stan Kuhn, who was doing maintence on the course, and was able to get some assistance from him - so he is aware of the issue. Hopefully it should be fixed by Saturday; but regardless, please be on the lookout for yellow jackets on that hole.

FYI. We are less than 14 days away. Here’s the PDGA refund policy.
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event within 14 days of the start of the event and prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended) will receive a 100% cash refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through either the waitlist or a walk-up entry (if offered). If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 25% cash refund OR just the player’s pack they would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 25% cash refund.

Short tees for Pool C are marked on BW1 - 4, 5, 7, 10, 11, 15, 16 and 17. Short tees on BW2 - for Pool C 1 basket in short, 4 short temp tee, 5A, 13 short temp tee, 14 basket in short, 15 short tee, 18 short tee.
Pool A BW2 - will play 19 holes , 3 new holes with tees marked and baskets in place. Hole 2 -347’ is be beyond 1’s basket and plays along the lake toward the walking trail. Hole 3 - 1000’ - tee is on walking trail (behind BW1 hole 4 tee) plays down the pipeline. Hole 3A - ~365’ (can’t remember exact).

Scratch the division limits. I set up Pools to keep divisions playing the same courses. Order of play will be:
Pool A - Dog River, BW1, BW2.
Pool B - BW2, Dog River, BW1
Pool C - BW1, BW2, Dog River.
Final 9 (Top 5 Open Players) BW1 holes 10 - 18
Pool A will play the added temp holes on BW2 all others will play the normal layout.

I have set limits on divisions to keep divisions playing the same course each round. As it stands Open, Pro Masters and MA1 will play the first round at Dog River. All others will be at Boundary Waters. I do not anticipate this changing. If we do get more Open, Pro Masters and MA1 sign ups. We will have a limited number of fivesomes for those divisions only.
