Fun course. Wallace assured me in email that my buddy and I could play in the doubles tournament Friday. I told him I was coming from 2 hours away so didn’t want to make the drive for nothing. We show up at 230, met Wallace and he told us to warm up and wait for another group while he took off to play with a group of SIX. We warmed up for 15-20 minutes just for the other 2 directors to come refund our $ and told us we could play the course for free... maybe that’s normal

Welcome to the inaugural Beeville Turkey Hunt 2020 and a big thank you for spending the day with us and raising money for the Tee Pad Project! Prior to this PDGA C-Tier Event we had two Warm ups which already raised $490!! Now add that with the funds raised at tomorrow’s event and will be helping our Disc Golf Neighbors in Beeville get some tee pads!! South Texas Disc golfers continue to amaze us with your generosity, support, kindness and motivation to put on events and raise funds where needed to grow this sport we all have grown to love! We at OneStar strive for the best possible Player Experience while going to above beyond to ensure you receive a professional ran event as you deserve for a PDGA sanctioned event! We encourage you to provide feedback to staff both good and bad as we want to always improve. Again thanks all for joining us and let’s get to the Tournament info…….

Pull up, give your name, get your player pack and grab your Free Breakfast Taco or Fruit Cup sponsored by Craft Crew Disc Golf Club, OneStar Disc Golf & Poesta Creek High flyers.
Then, please proceed to starting hole; to warm up & practice. PLEASE do not hang at head quarters….

Digital SCORE: With a Smartphone, designate a player to keep score: PDGA.com/score Code: Beeville To watch live scores use PDGA.com/live; We highly Encourage digital score for everyone’s safety pdga rules say we must provide Paper cards. Provided at each starting hole with a pencil, map and rules.

Lunch: Players will be encouraged to stay distanced at lunch best as possible. PLEASE PURCHASE YOUR LUNCH FROM the ON SITE VENDOR; Craft Crew Disc Golf Club (donating 25% tee pads)
Payouts: Payouts for Pro divisions will be done via PayPal.
Payouts for amateur divisions will be handled by Divisions (JR, Women, MA1 thru REC) 4 at a time in order from 1st to last. We will ask that players sanitize their hands before and after looking through the inventory.
Retail: All onsite sales will be handled as above, 4 at a time and same distancing measures apply.
ACE POT: $230 carried over from Warm Up’s to add to event Ace Pot. No Ace? Covid-T-P (CTP) RAFFLE: The City of Beeville approved Poesta Creek club to conduct raffle to support the Tee Pad Project however we must practices social distancing & please do not congregate. Wearing a mask is requested. General Rules:
All PDGA Rules will be followed to promote fair play for all disc golfers. If any point in dispute is not covered by the rules, the decision is made in accordance with fairness.
The TWO meter rule IS IN EFFECT!
OUT of BOUNDS (OB): Roads, Parking Lot, stream, ropes and “Pylons and Beyond” if not marked.
Lost DISC: 3 mins to locate (everyone help!), if determined lost proceed to previous lie w/one stroke penalty.
Use provisional throws when necessary to save time!

Hole 1 – Water OB, Road, Rope and Pylons (JR’s TEE from short tee)
Hole 4 – Double Mandatory, If missed Proceed to Drop Zone (DZ) (JR’s TEE from DZ)
Hole 6 - Mandatory Left of marked tree; Use Drop Zone (DZ) if missed. (JR’s TEE from DZ)
Hole 13 – Mandatory Left of marked tree; Use Drop Zone (DZ) if missed. (JR’s TEE from DZ)
Hole 18 – SPEED OF PLAY! If not sure, take a provisional!!

I was out there today and they were mowing holes 2 thru 9 so the course is looking really good. Still a few sticker to deal with but a lot better. Could use some wood to cross over the water on 18 as its pretty muddy. I could see that a ton of feet making the crossing would cause it to be even more slippery. My main question is on hole 4. Is that just a double mando or is it a clowns mouth?
