Hey Mark, my friend and I are waitlist #1 for intermediate and recreational and would be coming down from Jacksonville but what are the chances we show up Saturday morning and get in? Does it really depend on if someone doesn't show up so we take their spot?

Hey Mark, do you mind switching me to intermediate since there's only one on that wait list? That's only division I see a chance of getting in at. If I end up getting in I will pay difference of divisions at sign in. Thanks

Mark Janssen   February 9, 2017 at 1:09pm

sure thing

Luke R   February 9, 2017 at 1:57pm

Thanks

Is there still gonna be a doubles round friday afternoon? If so, what course & time?

Mark Janssen   February 8, 2017 at 1:48pm

Random Draw Doubles will tee off at 3:30. $10 per person. Will use a hybrid of the two courses.

A Grace    February 3, 2017 at 12:43pm

Who is gonna be around the course this afternoon?

Henry Grover   February 3, 2017 at 10:09am

My wife and I will be there tomorrow-haven't played the courses so if anyone is playing we could use a tour guide!

Mark Janssen   February 3, 2017 at 11:31am

check out www.SoutheasternAmateurChampionship.com to find maps of the course or take a picture of the map in the kiosk on the wall of the bathroom.

Henry Grover   February 3, 2017 at 11:44am

Thanks mark

Mike Cain    February 3, 2017 at 8:13am

Hey Mark! I am on the waitlist for adv grandmaster. I was thinking of taking the last pro grandmaster spot. Can I just pay difference or should I register then cancel adv spot?

Guess I should have just registered rather than pay the difference. :( My fault!

Mark Janssen   February 5, 2017 at 6:20pm

no your good, as I have a drop that hasn't processed

Mike Cain   February 6, 2017 at 2:36am

Awesome! Thanks Mark!

Gary Judd    February 2, 2017 at 3:19pm

When will the extra spots be allocated? Was planning on playing but if not, making other plans.

Mark Janssen   February 2, 2017 at 12:00pm

As of yesterday, we have re-allocated cards from both the Pro Grandmasters and the Pro women. All the other divisions are in mid-card. We run our events by divisional cards as opposed to straight sign ups. Therefore, each division is allocated number of cards which are then assigned to a course pool ... more

Gary Judd   February 2, 2017 at 1:08pm

Thought it was a slim chance and I appreciate the update. Should have signed sooner and will next time. Have fun all and good luck.

Henry Grover    January 19, 2017 at 1:12pm

Any suggestions for camping nearby?

Pam(ouflage) Reineke   January 19, 2017 at 8:31am

Bill Frederick turkey lake park down the street 5 miles maybe

Mark Janssen   January 19, 2017 at 8:44am

yep, Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake is the best spot and there are 3 more courses on that park. We do events there in May and Sept.

Henry Grover   January 19, 2017 at 5:30pm

Thanks!

Luke R    January 16, 2017 at 1:49am

If pro side doesn't fill up will those spots be opened up to wait list?

Mark Janssen   January 16, 2017 at 7:45am

As mentioned in the about event description, on Feb 1st the pro spots get reallocated across other divisions if not filled.

Justin Darr    January 4, 2017 at 3:44am

Will the course still be under construction during the tournament?

Mark Janssen   January 4, 2017 at 10:13am

From the looks of things and the speed that they are going it will certainly still have construction ongoing. The current Parkside layout will be utilized.

Chris Stone    December 22, 2016 at 4:07pm

When and where is the cross course challenge?

Look for the comment on the Orlando Disc Golf Inc page on Facebook. And the challenge always takes place at Barnett park.

Mark Janssen   December 22, 2016 at 8:53pm

Thats correct Scott, looking at jan 15 for three amateur spots (adv./ adv mstrs: intmd and remaining age protected: rec) will need a specific numbers of participants in each group to award free entry. $20 entry

Chris Stone   December 23, 2016 at 6:54am

Jan 14th and 15th is the Am weekend of Suwannee open. what a shame, thats 90 Ams that cant play the cross course challenge.

doug crenshaw    December 21, 2016 at 6:21pm

Are you guys dishing us seniors on purpose, why no division?

Fred Vocino   December 22, 2016 at 10:24pm

The waitlist piece was something I had considered. 34 spots and 13 waitlist as of today- statistically speaking, there is a current margin of 21 that may not be eliminated by, let's say, Feb 1. It's a slim chance of course. Seniors who can make last minute plans might jump at the chance.

Mark Janssen   January 15, 2017 at 7:29pm

Fred, were you looking to play amateur or pro as a Sr. grandmaster at Barnett Park Championships?

Fred Vocino   January 16, 2017 at 10:43am

I play AM.Some weeks ago I started looking for warmer climate events, including this one. Work, family, and travel issues have kept me from a decision so far. I took this event off my "maybe" list when there was doubt about the MS1 division. Now that I see that there is a good MG1 showing, I regret having too little time to make economical travel arrangements.

Pam(ouflage) Reineke    December 21, 2016 at 2:00am

Awesome that you held Pro Spots and Am Spots. So many Ams these days they fill up tournaments fast. 12 spots held for Open Women is an anomaly and much appreciated.

Mark Janssen   December 20, 2016 at 11:26pm

sure thing, now lets get them filled.

Randy Connell    December 19, 2016 at 1:29pm

Will there be a player pack for Rec?

Mark Janssen   December 19, 2016 at 9:09am

yes, and lunch one day included as well

Rock Arnold    December 18, 2016 at 11:24pm

Are the Advanced Grandmasters Division playing from the short tees on the North Course or longs? Thanks!

Mark Janssen   December 18, 2016 at 7:07pm

should be short

Mark Janssen   December 18, 2016 at 8:00pm

All pad assignments are listed in the about event info

Rock Arnold   December 18, 2016 at 8:09pm

Thanks Mark! That's what we did last year...I figured as much.
