Hey Mark, my friend and I are waitlist #1 for intermediate and recreational and would be coming down from Jacksonville but what are the chances we show up Saturday morning and get in? Does it really depend on if someone doesn't show up so we take their spot?

I'm #3 on Rec wait list, anyway I can get on intermediate as well? Really hoping to play this weekend
Hey Mark, do you mind switching me to intermediate since there's only one on that wait list? That's only division I see a chance of getting in at. If I end up getting in I will pay difference of divisions at sign in. Thanks

Is there still gonna be a doubles round friday afternoon? If so, what course & time?
Random Draw Doubles will tee off at 3:30. $10 per person. Will use a hybrid of the two courses.

Who is gonna be around the course this afternoon?
My wife and I will be there tomorrow-haven't played the courses so if anyone is playing we could use a tour guide!
check out www.SoutheasternAmateurChampionship.com to find maps of the course or take a picture of the map in the kiosk on the wall of the bathroom.

Hey Mark! I am on the waitlist for adv grandmaster. I was thinking of taking the last pro grandmaster spot. Can I just pay difference or should I register then cancel adv spot?
Guess I should have just registered rather than pay the difference. :( My fault!

When will the extra spots be allocated? Was planning on playing but if not, making other plans.
As of yesterday, we have re-allocated cards from both the Pro Grandmasters and the Pro women. All the other divisions are in mid-card. We run our events by divisional cards as opposed to straight sign ups. Therefore, each division is allocated number of cards which are then assigned to a course pool ... more
Thought it was a slim chance and I appreciate the update. Should have signed sooner and will next time. Have fun all and good luck.

Any suggestions for camping nearby?
Bill Frederick turkey lake park down the street 5 miles maybe
yep, Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake is the best spot and there are 3 more courses on that park. We do events there in May and Sept.

If pro side doesn't fill up will those spots be opened up to wait list?
As mentioned in the about event description, on Feb 1st the pro spots get reallocated across other divisions if not filled.

Will the course still be under construction during the tournament?
From the looks of things and the speed that they are going it will certainly still have construction ongoing. The current Parkside layout will be utilized.

When and where is the cross course challenge?
Look for the comment on the Orlando Disc Golf Inc page on Facebook. And the challenge always takes place at Barnett park.
Thats correct Scott, looking at jan 15 for three amateur spots (adv./ adv mstrs: intmd and remaining age protected: rec) will need a specific numbers of participants in each group to award free entry. $20 entry
Jan 14th and 15th is the Am weekend of Suwannee open. what a shame, thats 90 Ams that cant play the cross course challenge.

Are you guys dishing us seniors on purpose, why no division?
The waitlist piece was something I had considered. 34 spots and 13 waitlist as of today- statistically speaking, there is a current margin of 21 that may not be eliminated by, let's say, Feb 1. It's a slim chance of course. Seniors who can make last minute plans might jump at the chance.
Fred, were you looking to play amateur or pro as a Sr. grandmaster at Barnett Park Championships?
I play AM.Some weeks ago I started looking for warmer climate events, including this one. Work, family, and travel issues have kept me from a decision so far. I took this event off my "maybe" list when there was doubt about the MS1 division. Now that I see that there is a good MG1 showing, I regret having too little time to make economical travel arrangements.

Awesome that you held Pro Spots and Am Spots. So many Ams these days they fill up tournaments fast. 12 spots held for Open Women is an anomaly and much appreciated.

Will there be a player pack for Rec?
Rock Arnold December 18, 2016 at 11:24pm
Are the Advanced Grandmasters Division playing from the short tees on the North Course or longs? Thanks!
Thanks Mark! That's what we did last year...I figured as much.
Yes it matters. In order to get into the event there has to be a drop in the division that you are registered.
Cory had an ma2 drop your in now
And then there was me
Wahooo!
