As most of you know, Jake and Christy Aaron (both GnR officers) were married on September 1; two weeks later, Christy suffered severe bleeding from a brain aneurysm and has been in the NICU at UAB ever since. While her prognosis has improved considerably in that time, she is still in serious condition and her recovery will take a long time.
This is a fundraiser event to assist Jake and their families with the expenses they have incurred and will continue to do so as Christy receives treatment. Even more so, it is an expression of love and support from our extended disc golf family, something that they both will need on the road ahead.
This is an Amateur-only, non-PDGA sanctioned event.
Entry fee is $30 for all Adult divisions, $15 for Juniors. Player pack will be one disc from club stock. Payouts will also be from club stock. In addition, Jason Lecompte and Man of Steel Artworks is generously donating handmade trophies to the division winners.
We are also offering basket sponsorships for $25 per hole; there are no limits to the number of sponsors per hole (in case we exceed 18).
We will have a raffle at the end of the day and are seeking any donations to the raffle inventory you may want to give. Tickets are:
