Remember to park well in the day use lots TEE TIMES will start at hole 16, but MEET at Tourney Central. PDGA Digital Scoring info is at tourney central, paper scorecards are going out as well. Also, save a copy of the COURSE NOTES as an image to your phone. Hole 1 OB fence left does not start until the gate. Course notes went out in email yesterday, or can be found on the 'Pictures' tab.

CAMPERS: We have roughly half of the sites reserved and half un-reserved. If you have purchased the general camp (i.e. are not part of one of the reserved sites) and are arriving today prior to our arrival in site B-8 at tourney central, you'll need to know this list of available sites: A-1, A-3, A-11, A-15, T14, T16, A-12, B-4, and B-6. Remember, for general camp, this is meant to be group camp style where we all share the space. Standard for MVFA is 6 campers per site with two cars at the site. We may have some wiggle room with the cars, potentially and based on the situation. If you are part of a reserved site, be sure you know which site.

Bathrooms at Finnon are as follows: 1) at camp next to tourney central, 2) at Hole 9 as newly refurbished and ready for use, and 3) a portable that we are bringing Friday which will either be set up near hole 22 green/26 tee (if a space looks good that does not block a fire lane), or near the diner.

If not camping, parking is in the primary day use lot and the overflow lot. Everyon needs to check in because everyone will get some schwag and a very important parking pass to display. Please make sure that you are parking tight enough to fit everyone in, as is reasonable. And as always at Finnon, NEVER BLOCK A FIRE LANE. ....You'll be happy to know that since the diner is closed, the front area near the diner will be available for parking as well. This will be helpful for those with starting holes nearby on Sunday.

You'll notice that Finnon is growing tee pads. This is great news. A new one popped up out of the ground today on hole 9! Thanks to those that put in the work. To preserve their efforts, please stay off of the baby seedling of a teepad until further notice. We will assess upon arrival and make a plan for the tourney that will either rely on the new concrete or a new temporary location. If there would be any damage to the concrete, we'll move it. Reminder, this is where the new OB line has been flagged/feathered dividing holes 8 and 9.

The course is in pretty great shape; I added notes about grasses so you can get a sense of what it will be like. Most of the fairways have been previously mowed with minimal regrowth. Areas where I talk about ankle high grasses are typical this time of year where grasses that hadn't been mowed have fallen over; they're thicker, but not tall, and not bad. The thistle on 27 is decent too, but taller if you fall out left, not too bad still. I've made notes about concrete tees that have been installed on certain holes (1/4/13/14/16/20), very nice, and about tees that have been relocated (1/6/12/13/22 temporary for work in progress, very nice as well). Notes about Jr tees are for the MJ10 field only, except where the Jr Tee becomes a drop zone (DZ) for OB or lost disc as specified.

Thanks everyone for working with me on the camping. It looks like there's plenty of room if anyone else is interested in staying at Finnon. Tournament central is in site B8 next to the bathroom (starting Friday when we arrive). We will have information available showing reserved and unreserved sites at tourney central. If you are part of a reserved site, look for your "head of campsite" to know the site number. If you are not part of a reserved site, see the list of available sites, and look for your ideal spot amongst friends. ......FOR THOSE DRIVING BOTH DAYS: Please park in the day use area or overflow parking (the boat ramp and fire lanes are definite No Parking areas). Saturday warm-up zone is in the day use area between day use parking and the campground. Ams and Jrs get full players' packs; Pros get some small schwag; EVERYONE should check in. We will have early check-in Friday.
