Welcome and thank you to everyone for signing up for the 2nd Annual Hinson Lake Classic! This is the signature event of the Richmond County Disc Golf Group, and this event has grown tremendously in just a year. This email will be the first of two emails that I will send to the players to make sure there is no confusion come Saturday morning.

This is the "virtual" players meeting email that will be sent Wednesday and Friday prior to the event. NO in person players meeting for this event.

- Player Sign-Ups/Players Pack Pick Up: 8:00 - 9:00 adjacent to Hole 17/18
- Shotgun Start with 1st Round starting at 9:30 and 2nd Round starting an hour after the last card has finished
- Round 1: 19-Hole Tournament Layout with TEMP BASKETS on HOLES 3, 9, 13, and 17 (Red Axiom HD Pro Baskets)
- Round 2: 19-Hole Tournament Layout playing to ALL NORMAL Baskets

- Tournament Logo VIP Chameleon Boatman (Excludes MA1 and FA1)

- In exclusion of the premium disc MA1 and FA1 divisions will have a payout in addition to the T-Shirt, Mini Disc Marker, Daily Dose Coupon, and Lucky Bucks. Payouts will come via OTB Gift Cards via email following the tournament.

Other Details:

- Ace Pot: The Ace Pot will start be $450 and be in play for all holes on the course. An additional $200 will be added to the Ace Pot by the Richmond County Disc Golf Group for any player that can Ace Hole 18.
- There will a CTP on HOLE 12 for ALL groups during the 1st Round of the event. There will be no CTP flag! Each group is responsible for sending the player with the CTP to the registration tent after Round 1 to select a CTP Prize from the discs and items the Richmond County Disc Golf Group will have for players to chose from.

Out of Bounds/Hazards (Info will also be within PDGA live scoring):

Hole 1: Left of fairway, and beyond open space where basket is located. Marked by orange whisker markers.
Hole 4: On or Beyond Pathway. Marked by orange whisker markers. Mando marked on tree within the fairway. Proceed to drop zone.
Hole 11: Beyond basket. Marked by orange whisker markers.
Hole 13: OB in the tall grass on the right side of the fairway.
Hole 14: OB in the tall grass on the right side of the fairway.
Hole 16: On or beyond pathway
Hole 17: Short and in the creek. Go to Drop Zone.
Hole 18: Beyond the pathway into the lake. With a stroke penalty, play from location where disc crossed the pathway. Also, the rocks are designated as hazard area marked by orange paint. If you enter this area you will play from your lie with a one-stroke penalty.
Hole 19: Island green marked by white paint. Proceed to drop zone with 1-stroke penalty if OB.

Hey y’all!

Just throwing out a general course update for the 2nd Annual Hinson Lake Classic as it pertains to Round 1 and OBs for those familiar with the course.

1. Temp basket locations will be used for Holes 3, 9, 13, and 17 for ROUND 1 ONLY. All temp locations have been marked with orange X’s for players to view.

- Hole 3 (225 ft) provides a tight window straight shot
- Hole 9 (265 ft) opens up the hyzer route as the basket will be placed on the opposite side of the hole for the normal basket.
- Hole 13’s (550 ft) basket will be placed into the opening/walkway on the left side of the fairway adjacent to the current basket.
- Hole 17 (280 ft) now provides a longer straight to hyzer shot as the basket will be placed in the grassy area short of the Portajohn and parking lot.

2. Hole 11’s OB along the right side of the fairway has been adjusted closer to the basket by 5-7 feet to create a tighter landing zone and tougher hole.

3. Hole 19’s tee pad has been relocated roughly 15 feet further.

There will be tee signs with these adjustments at each hole for the tournament so there is no confusion. Please let me know if there are any questions regarding these changes.
