"Players who request withdrawal within 48 hours of the start of play, or who request withdrawal after the published close of registration and the published end of waitlist replacements, are not entitled to a refund. If a TD fills a player’s spot with a player on the waitlist at the time of withdrawal after the published close of registration and the published end of waitlist replacements, but more than 48 hours prior to the start of play, that player must receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee."

Little America is mostly set. #3 needs to be moved longer; otherwise baskets are in place. A pool plays from the long tees; B-pool plays from short tees on holes 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 18, common tees on other holes. Layouts are not yet posted on Udisc.

Hey Bill, In the About section of the event, you still have C and D pools but only have A and B pools in the schedule. You have apparently combined some of the pools. It might be good to eliminate the C and D pool reference to avoid confusion. Also, is this a True Amateur event or are you doing AM payouts? Thanks for all of your work.

We are 2 weeks from the start of play. A reminder of the PDGA official refund policy which we are following for this tourney.

"Players who officially request to withdraw from an event within 14 days of the start of the event and prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended) will receive a 100% monetary refund minus up to a $10 handling fee only if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is not filled, the TD has the choice to provide either a 25% monetary refund or just the player’s pack they would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 25% monetary refund."

I know many are anxious to see the layouts and start practicing the courses so here's a status update. I initially planned on 3 courses but registration was lower planned so we are going with 2 courses, Little America (LA) and McPherson (McP). We are tweaking both courses so the layouts are unique from previous events. Both courses will have an A and B layout, with tees shortened and pars adjusted for the B pool. I am working with the Udisc gurus to get layouts posted there so people can start practicing.

8/18 holes at Little America are changed, mostly basket locations. 4 baskets (3, 5, 10, 16) still to be moved at LA and then it will be set. A-pool layout is 18 holes, 9460'. par 64; B layout is 8254' par 65.

Changes to McP are a bit more involved. We are working with the city to add 6 temporary holes to the course for the tournament. Holes have been positioned and we'll be installing them over the next week. In total the McP course will have challenging 21 hole layouts. A-pool layout is 7712' par 68; B layout is 7562 par 72.

I should mention that JK is the lead in getting the courses ready for play and I'm sure he can use some help. Get in touch with him if you want to contribute.

A bit overwhelmed by the number of people still wanting into the tournament. Registration was open for nearly 4 months and once it closed, lots more want in. So, I decided to open registration up for a short window ending this Friday. All division limits remain so if it's full you can get on the waitlist or choose a different division.

Players who officially request to withdraw from an event 15 to 29 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee minus up to a $10 handling fee only if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is not filled, the TD has the choice to provide either a 50% monetary refund of their entry fee or just the player’s pack the player would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 50% monetary refund.
