Concerning Pro Payout:

As noted in Competition Manual section 4.07 the PDGA is using a new payment processor for pro payout at PDGA Majors. This is also specifically noted in the DGS About section, the DGS registration form, and the DGS participant waiver for those affected events.

Payment Labs is the payment processor that will handle the Pro payouts for both players in the US and International players. Payment Labs has multiple payout options to choose from and will withhold taxes for countries where that is required by law, and where not required, you could choose to have it withhold taxes if you so wish. Payment Labs will also handle the end-of-year tax reporting.

Further details will be available when the Pro Players receive the email to register for Payment Labs which is expected by the end of March or first week in April.

I am speaking from the added cash variety in my division, MA65, and came here expecting to be mentally, physically and technically challenged at this event. I feel that you have fallen short of my expectations in this instance. Don't lower the bar for me as I am interpreting this as a major disrespect to the more advanced players. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FOR ALL THAT IS beautiful, and majestic and magical in Disc Golf, LET US PLAY Grindstone Regular. Let us pay homage to the person or persons who put that course in. It is a beautiful course, and it is not out of the realm of playability for any MA 60 or MA 65 I’ll let the others speak for themselves but it is crystal clear MANY MANY people are unhappy Grindstone course is beautiful. It’s one of the nicest mountain courses I’ve been on, and I’ve played Solitude plus many others. Please let us play some Disc Golf! 180-240 foot little one gappers,
short field upshots over and over again is not worthy of all the time and money we have spent to get here. At the very least, please let us know if you will consider it because we have the weekend. We have the early part of the week. I’ve talked to 15 people already, and nobody is happy about playing the shorts. I don’t want to be disrespectful to any TD or the PDGA. I know all the hard work that went into this, but that short course is not a PDGA major course; it is just not.

Hey everyone! For those just arriving in Ruidoso, go easy the first 24 hours while you acclimatize. You may wake up feeling hungover the first even if you haven't had a drop to drink. Here are some tips.

• High altitudes can lead to dehydration due to increased respiratory water loss.
• Drink plenty of fluids, aiming for 3–4 liters per day.
• Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least the first 48 hours at high altitude, as they can exacerbate dehydration and impair acclimatization. ​
• Engaging in strenuous activity too soon can increase the risk of altitude sickness.
• Rest for the first 24 hours after arriving at high altitude.
• Gradually increase activity levels as your body acclimates.

I'll be strait up here. I play these majors for the fields, not the courses. But if the trend of trivializing age-protected pro women/men continues at majors, there will eventually be a loss of interest in participation. It's discouraging to travel and spend a lot of time and money to play the most prestigious tournaments available only to be disappointed by layout(s) that aren't any more challenging than a women's only c-tier. Yes there may be elevation changes and trees and distance is somewhat relative. But an occasional long technical hole offers more opportunity for applying problem solving skills and score separation, ie golf.
