I'll be strait up here. I play these majors for the fields, not the courses. But if the trend of trivializing age-protected pro women/men continues at majors, there will eventually be a loss of interest in participation. It's discouraging to travel and spend a lot of time and money to play the most prestigious tournaments available only to be disappointed by layout(s) that aren't any more challenging than a women's only c-tier. Yes there may be elevation changes and trees and distance is somewhat relative. But an occasional long technical hole offers more opportunity for applying problem solving skills and score separation, ie golf.
