WAIT LISTS & REFUNDS:
There are many questions about getting promoted into the event off of the wait list. This information is posted below but having a thread on its own makes it easier to find. This is a brief look at how many players have been promoted into the event off of the wait list via refund requests since 2014. Not including the COVID cancelled 2020 event, from 2014 - 2022 the USADGC averages 33.25 refunds a year. More specifically, the most recent years have seen a surge in refunds for a variety of reasons like injury, work, family issues, travel costs, etc. Beginning with 2014, those numbers are 5, 11, 7, 37, 31, 46, 57, and last year a whopping 72 refunds. Its posted in the About section and in the invitation email - not being on the wait list eliminates all chance of being in the event. If you see spots have opened, feel free to sign up and take a chance on the wait list. If you are on the wait list and do not get into the event, you will receive a full refund.

The requirements to qualify are:
You must be a PDGA Amateur who is (current and/or was current in 2022)
You must have a PDGA Rating of 940+ with at least 6 rounds in their rating,
And must have played a PDGA sanctioned event in 2022 or later.

If you have met all of the requirements above and have received an invitation, make sure you will be a certified PDGA Official through the end of the 2023 USADGC event.

REGISTRATION UPDATE:
The E-mail everyone received from DiscGolfScene (DGS) was an auto generated email. DGS sent that to everyone letting them know their names were added to the Invitations. The PDGA will be sending everyone’s invitation hopefully tomorrow (Tuesday, March 21, 2023) morning.

If we need to adjust what day / time registration opens, we will post the details under this thread.

Here is a typical day competing for the USADGC:

Staff begins to arrive at the park around 6:30 am
1st Tee off is at 7:30 am on Friday and Saturday
1st Tee off is at 7:00 am on Sunday

There are 3 practice baskets near the 1st tee
There is a field where players can warm up longer throws
There will be an assortment of fresh fruits and snacks, coffee and water in the pavilion daily for the players and their caddies

Players are requested to check-in near the practice baskets 30 minutes prior to their posted daily tee times
Players will be sent to Hole 1 15 minutes before your posted daily tee times and check-in with our Tournament Starters
There will be an assortment of candies and water throughout the course under the pop-up tents for the players and their caddies
These will be restocked throughout the competition
We are working on a map and will post it in the Pictures tab above showing the course and pop-up tent locations
There will be water at the course Thursday for the players and caddies
When your rounds are finished you will be greeted at hole 18 by our Tournament Scorers
Following your rounds, you may go to the pavilion where you will be fed daily by Holden's (It is always great food and is part of the event)
If a player's caddie or partner would like to eat, the cost is $5 a day
Last tee times on Friday and Saturday should be around 2:54 pm, weather pending
Last Tee times on Sunday should be around 2:24 pm, weather pending
Rounds roughly take 3 - 3 1/2 hours. Depending on start times and weather, we expect to finish between 6:00 - 6:30 pm
Sunday awards immediately follow the last card barring any ties.
Following the last card daily, players may go back out on the course to practice if they so desire.

Found a White Bushnell on Saturday right of Hole 3 Fairway. The front plastic is broken off. Coincidently I left my Bushnell V3 Ball Golf Rangefinder somewhere between holes 17 and 18 Yesterday. It's in a white case with Red Piping. Happy to pay for shipping to get it back. Or if local my friend in Ann Arbor can grab it. Thank you to all the volunteers, staff, and players for making this an unforgettable trip out to Michigan from California. Y'all are the best!! <3 <3 <3
