Only comment I had was on the Ladies last round at Disc Side there was a lot of spectator traffic on holes 10,11,& 18 would be nice to have a solution to that. Or maybe volunteers to direct traffic to avoid someone getting hurt by an wild throw. Looking forward to next year!!

What's up with this bullshit payout? And also, I thought player packs were supposed to be worth at least $200. Seems like my entry bought my player pack for retail price. I mean come on. 3 discs, a $25 bag, and a retriever that's not even long enough to scratch my ass. TDs, awesome job. I had a blast playing and the courses were great. But damn.

Hey everyone,

First of all, thank you for playing. Obviously, the event doesn’t happen without players, and it’s cool to see we were able to add spots and you filled them. I understand I caused confusion on the players packs, and I am genuinely sorry. That text was there from last year’s event, and we didn’t get the same additions we were hoping for. Unfortunately, as we continued to plan and move onto other things, I left the text there. It was changed to place a tourniquet on the situation and hopefully allow us to find a resolution, which is still in progress on my end. Through your comments, I see how it can cause more of a ruckus and look disingenuous.

I don’t want this to distract from a great, fun weekend of disc golf, and I don’t want it to put a damper on your experience. Everyone here helping me, and including myself, is a player of tournaments big and small, and we all know and understand the importance of clarity and a positive tournament experience. If I didn’t feel the player packs were good, they wouldn’t be in your hands.

I own the full responsibility personally and it falls on myself alone. All of your frustrations are valid, though I assure you no one is being “robbed.” My No. 1 goal was to get you above your entry fee in value while still providing a payout on top of that. And past that point, it’s on me that once some of the added items fell through I was not clear.

I only post this to let you know I see and hear you and that there is a person behind the registration page and emails. My heart is always for the player and a good experience, and I let you down. Again, I am working on the best solution I can to get you and extra little bump. I appreciate you being here and choosing to spend your weekend with us. I’m happy to talk to any of you and will be at Disc Side of Heaven all weekend. Good luck in the event!

Hello Disc Golfers and Fans!

This information is HIGHLY IMPORTANT! Please read!

Parking for the 2022 Jonesboro Open is changing drastically. Over the last six years the tournament has gotten bigger, but so have the neighborhoods around the course. There are more houses around us and several more under construction. Because of this, there are major changes to this year’s tournament.

First and foremost, there will be NO PARKING ON THE STREET or in Sloan Lake Estates.
In years past we have parked along the edge of the street and inside the subdivision. If you park anywhere along the street, you could be towed.

So, where do we park?

MPO & FPO Players: You will receive further instruction in an email.

AMs, Spectators, Volunteers: You will have options, but those options change throughout the week so please read carefully.

First choice is Wednesday through Saturday, you can park at Walnut Street Baptist Church (1910 Scenic Road). We will have several shuttles moving you from the Church to Disc Side of Heaven main gate and back to the lot. Please be respectful of the church property at all times. This lot will not be available on Sunday. On Sunday, you can move to the Big Lots store (1907 Woodsprings Road) next to Walnut Street Baptist Church. This trip is roughly 6.5 minutes by shuttle so plan accordingly for your tee times. This will be known as the SHUTTLE LOT.

Second choice is dependent on weather. We have cleared more of the pasture adjacent to the course and have permission to park there. We can get a lot of cars out there, but please help us by carpooling as much as possible to maximize the space. This pasture land becomes very slick with rain so we will monitor this lot every day before opening. This will be known as the GRASS LOT.

Third choice is Ridgefield Christian School. This is a paved lot less than a quarter of mile from the main gate. This is the SCHOOL LOT and it is available on Saturday and Sunday only. Please do not try to park here Monday through Friday as it could keep us from having access to the lot on the weekend. Again, the School Lot is open Saturday and Sunday only. Please carpool here as well to maximize the space.

For AMs, Player’s Pack Pick Up is moving this year to Craighead Forest Park. This will help alleviate a lot of traffic on Friday near Disc Side of Heaven.

If you are in the C Pool, we recommend you use the School Lot or the Grass Lot (if open) on SATURDAY.

If you are in A Pool, we recommend you use the School Lot or the Grass Lot (if open) on SUNDAY.
