Definitely a bummer to miss round 2, but weather is weather and the fact of the matter is that nobody can see the future (despite what the Monday morning quarterbacks would have you believe).

Thank you for all of your efforts in putting together an event of this magnitude. We had a great time. Our cardmates were fantastic - real class acts. A huge congrats to my son Garrett - 2 strokes out of the lead in his division on a course he's played only twice before...not bad for a 14 year-old! My only disappointment was not getting to see if he could chase down the leaders. See you in the Spring!

My friend and I waited out the rain, which stopped at 2:30. It sprinkled later for about 20 minutes, and after that, it was completely clear and sunny at 3:30. PDGA rule 1.07J states that "All suspended rounds shall be completed, unless conditions exist that make it impossible."

With the rain ending around 2:30 and it being perfectly sunny at 3:30, you can't argue that there were conditions that made it impossible. Plenty of daylight left to complete the second round.

More thought should be put into a decision that impacts the ratings of 208 players, and it begs the question as to whether this should be considered an official PDGA sanctioned round. (Please correct me of I'm wrong about whether or not the tournament results are official.)
