About this tournament

The topic covered in this workshop is Advanced Techniques. The workshop is scheduled from 4 PM to 5:30 PM on Tuesday, April 27th.

The cost for the workshop is $30.

Expert artists will teach participants tips and tricks necessary to utilize the workshop topic to create some very cool discs! Each participant will receive a bottom-stamped blank Fuzion disc to dye during the workshop. The Dye Academy will provide all dyes and supplies during the workshop.

The workshop will be held in a classroom at the Emporia Arts Center located in downtown Emporia at 815 Commercial Street.

Truly Hard Seltzer will be providing complimentary beverages to the participants during the workshop.

Workshop instructors include:

Bryan Eckert
Bryan currently resides in Saint Johns, Michigan, and has been a disc golfer since 2001. He dyed his first disc on May 29th, 2020, after being inspired by a post he saw on Reddit. He has dyed over 300 discs since specializing in clear glue beds and applying multiple dyeing techniques to one disc. Bryan’s favorite plastics to dye are Kastaplast K1, Trilogy Gold Line/Fuzion, and Opto-X Chameleon.

Randy Drennan PDGA 120688 Anderson IN
Randy took up disc golf in 2017 and started dyeing discs about a year later. His dyeing talent led to his friends asking for custom dyes, and soon after, “Hoosier Daddy Dyes” was born. Randy is skilled in various dyeing forms, with his specialty in stencils combined with painting and shading techniques.

Keith Lempa
Based in the sunny San Francisco Bay Area, Keith is the owner and founding member of the discdyeing.com team. He has been playing disc golf since 2008 and has been dyeing discs since 2017 after a broken leg kept him away from the course for a few months. He has dyed hundreds of discs since then, covering almost every method and color available to find his niche with highly detailed, intricate, and time-consuming stencil work.

Brandon Brewer
Brandon is the head dyer at B13 Disc Design, located out of Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Brandon specializes in glue beds and Floetrol pours, which are truly one of a kind. He is always willing to share tips and techniques with others, and his helpful attitude and creative spirit are perfect for the dye academy.

Refund policy

Registrants will receive a full refund if they cancel prior to April 20, 2021. Registrants that cancel between April 20, 2021, and the start of the workshop will receive $30 in store credit at dynamicdiscs.com. Registrants that do not show up for the event and do not communicate their withdrawal, will not receive a refund.
