There will be more to say in the coming days but for now please know due to today's PDGA announcement I will begin issuing everyone a full refund. Please be patient during this process. There are 160 plus refunds to process so it may take more than 10 minutes, lol.

That could not have been a fun process. WOW, I am glad I didn't have to do that. LOL

John Minicuci   April 24, 2020 at 7:14pm

It hurt. Both physically and mentally. Its repetitive on the mind but sad for the event. We work hard on this event.

Spencer Gee   April 25, 2020 at 6:14am

As soon as this all blows over please list events that are qualifiers for 2021. For us that qualified based of finishes from last year we’d love to know how we can qualify again other than solely rating. Thanks!

Can anyone who had to sign up for the doubles and would like to opt out please all
comment here so that they are all in one thread. It will be easier to issue $20 refunds working off one list. Thanks!

At this time, all of the refunds have been processed. The refund extends to every player who paid for the doubles. At this time, we are unsure if a doubles will be scheduled but if one happens, we will post here on the Scene. Thank you for your patience!

Will this event be rescheduled this year?

Spencer Gee    April 18, 2020 at 2:03pm

Very unfortunate. Will our invites be reissued in 2021?

Lee Slikkers   April 18, 2020 at 2:30pm

Was wondering the same thing

Mark Stephens   April 20, 2020 at 3:16pm

I will say that we will have to discuss this as a staff and the PDGA. It will be answered but it will not be for a while...

Greg Hines    April 17, 2020 at 8:08pm

Will you be issuing refunds for everyone ?

John Minicuci   April 18, 2020 at 1:39pm

James willson    April 17, 2020 at 8:06pm

Matt Neal    April 17, 2020 at 8:03pm

Jesse Cahill    April 13, 2020 at 2:09pm

What is the contingency plan for Am Nats? Postponmemt or cancellation? Hoping for the former as only having Amateurs to reschedule it may still happen this year?

No difinitive answer yet Jesse. Stay tuned to the thread above for updates ....

Literally just got my PDGA number. What is the best way to get into this tournament? Is it possible still?

#135359 ?

Mark Stephens   March 14, 2020 at 2:27pm

You have to either have a rating high enough or win a spot at a qualifying event. www.usadgc.com. Look for the FAQ page

John Minicuci   March 14, 2020 at 2:35pm

If that is Rob's PDGA#,he is registered as a Pro and is not eligible to play in the USADGC.

Adam Sullivan    March 13, 2020 at 5:44pm

With everything going on concerning the corona virus, is this event being considered for postponement or possibly canceled all together.

Mark Stephens   March 13, 2020 at 5:52pm

Since this is not until June, there is no such thoughts or concerns at this time.

Jeff Adams    March 13, 2020 at 12:36pm

Is there a camping(tent) location nearby the course?

Jeff Hollinger    March 13, 2020 at 12:32am

I sure hope there is a beat the beast competition this year! Thanks John and Mark and whoever else had a hand in dealing with the BTB issue so quickly.

John Minicuci   March 13, 2020 at 1:21am

Thank you Jeff. I am non-stop at work these days but when I got home I was able to process 50 refunds in about 15 minutes. The Scene has become amazing in that capacity. When I did the Tiered ratings tho, I was pretty sure I de-selected the radial button for the BTB portion. User error, lol !

Spencer Gee   March 13, 2020 at 1:53am

I agree Jeff, Beat the Beast was one of my favorite parts of last year! It was good to get out and have a relaxing round before 3 days of grinding that course out!

Jeff Hollinger   March 13, 2020 at 3:13pm

I sure hope USADGC happens now! Lol ugh

Jesse Cahill    March 12, 2020 at 9:32pm

Had no idea there was an issue with having to select dubs. I received a refund but am still very much interested in participating with a byop. Is there a new pre-reg just for the beat the beast dubs now?

John Minicuci   March 12, 2020 at 9:42pm

I posted a response in Mark's post. At this time we do not have confirmation a doubles will even happen. We are working on something and will post as soon as we know.

Jesse Cahill   March 14, 2020 at 1:36pm

Thanks John, Mark responded to me as well. Looking forward to whatever bonues events you guys are able to pull off! (Bring back speed golf ;-) )

Jesse Diller    March 12, 2020 at 5:19pm

I didn't see the doubles opt-in on my registration...did it disappear?

Kris Vezino   March 12, 2020 at 5:30pm

Yes

Jesse Diller   March 12, 2020 at 6:07pm

ok, I was worried...my buddy was saying he saw it when he registered, but I didnt. :)

Josh Taylor    March 12, 2020 at 4:13pm

Had to register Luke Taylor for "Battle the Beast" to finish registration...assuming that was an oversight...would like a refund of that $20 once you get that issue worked out. Thank You

Jonathan Sides    March 12, 2020 at 4:06pm

Does our partner for Beat the Beast have to be an invited play for USADGC? Bringing a buddy to caddy and was wondering for them.

Mark Stephens   March 12, 2020 at 4:18pm

They do not. You can have any amateur level player

Jonathan Sides   March 12, 2020 at 4:33pm

What is the possible time/date for beat the beast?

Mark Stephens   March 12, 2020 at 5:01pm

It would be Thursday finishing before the player meeting.

Tyler $ Alfano    March 12, 2020 at 4:05pm

Pretty insane that there is no option to opt out of the beat the beast...
