Discs For Dogs 2020
Hello and thank you all for coming out and supporting Discs for Dogs 2020. We will be supporting PawsCo Dog Rescue this year.
PawsCo is dedicated to reducing pet homelessness by keeping animals in their homes through partnering with the Food Bank of the Rockies for a year round Pet Food Drive, and serving as a partner to shelters and rescues to foster the most in-need animals and those not thriving in a shelter setting. PawsCo is an all-breed rescue where pets live in foster homes prior to adoption, and receive love, training, and medical care they need to be successful adoption candidates. They are 100% volunteer-run. Support PawsCo at
www.pawsco.org.
A big thank you to our sponsors Discmania, Gateway, Ben Parson’s State Farm, The Wrightlife, Compost Queen, Glacier Ice Cream, Sundance Trail Ranch, Bootstrap Brewing, and New Belgium brewery.
Fort Collins Fun Disc Golf focuses on beginner and recreational disc golf. We are a donation and volunteer based club. All events are donation based. You can really help out the club by bringing us all of those discs you have outgrown and barried. We will give them to beginners and find them a new home. We help grow the sport by teaching, giving out discs, and providing a fun atmosphere to all. The more volunteers and donations we have the more we can give back to this wonderful sport and community.
2 Rules:
1) Whoever has the most fun wins
2) Please don’t throw in on anyone.
It goes without saying pack-it-in and pack-it-out, play by course rules and follow Covid Guidelines. Please read the guidelines in the details on our tournament page.
Speaking of COVID Guidelines we will have masks if you need one, please don’t show up more than 15 minutes prior to your tee time, please don’t group up before or after the event. Please Social Distance. Please give your group a 2 minute limit to search for a lost disc. Please be mindful about speed of play. If you need to please let a group play through.
I ask that one person keep score for the group. I will have paper copies or please use the Udisc App. Please post a picture of your scores on our Discs For Dogs Facebook Event page. We would also love for you to post all of your fun pics on our page!
Out of bounds is just the fence and water. Everyone will get to experience the new Am Tee pads.
In case of bad weather, I will blow an air horn, and we will take a half hour break. At that time we will determine if we can keep playing or need to end the round where we are at.
This year everyone ties for most fun, we will be giving discs and prizes to you as you show up!
If no one hits the ace pool we will donate it!
Hopefully next year we will have more events at The Biergarten.
One last huge shout out to Sundance Ranch for having us, supporting recreational disc golf, and the puppies! Thank you for allowing us to install Am Tee pads this year.
Thanks for coming out! Peace, Love, and Disc Golf!
Also a big thank you to Adam dembecki for all the help this year. Helping design Am Tee pads with me, covid-19 guidelines, and donations. Thank you to dating Danny Brooks, Max Poling, Ian Barleen, Kylie Lynn Kampbell, and Keary Dickinson for helping out, donating, and volunteering!
