About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Welcome to Calgary’s first C-tier day and glow sanctioned tournament!!!
Everyone will play 1 day time round in the afternoon and 1 Glow round in the evening on a tournament layout at Currie Reservoir Disc Golf Course.
18 hole layout
NEW HOLES
Hole 8 tee pad - 9 basket - Par 4
Hole 13 tee pad - 14 basket - Par 4
Hole 20 tee pad - 21 basket - Par 5
All baskets will be in the current layout
We will be playing the winter layout and winter rules
Drop zone on every hole
Hole 2 - Mando through the uprights- if not made play from drop zone.
Hole 4 - Mando left of the Mando sign/evergreen tree
Day Round 2pm
Night Round 6:30pm
All participants will be ALLOWED to use, Glow tape, Lights and Ribbons for this event.(Even during the day round)
Please have a way to glow your discs.
We will have glow tape on site for those who may need some extra
Any lost disc due to poor glow or under snow will be subject to the pdga 3 minute time limit ruling and after the the time limit is up you must proceed to drop zone and add a stroke.
72 players
Pros - $65 - 100% pay out (16 spot available) (if not all full by feb 15th remaining spots will go to Am’s on the waitlist)
Ams - $45 - Trophy only (Player Packs) (52 spots available)
-1 stock Glow disc (multiple manufacturers) and some other cool swag TBD
(More Am spots may become available pending pro spots filling).
All Non PDGA members are subject to a $10 fee
YYC Day Glow Open will be a Fundraiser for both the AMDGC and the CDGC.
All left over of funds after the purchase of player packs will be donated to both clubs, to help make improvements to courses.
$10 donation that will be split 50/50 with the Aspen Meadows Disc Golf Club and Calgary Disc Golf Club to make improvements at Aspen Meadows & Calgary courses
We will also have a uhaul on site and will be doing a BOTTLE DRIVE!!!
All proceeds will go to AMDGC (Aspen Meadows Disc Golf Club) to help continue Rudy’s dreams and help make Aspen Meadows even better then it is…… So save your bottles and bring them the day of the Tournament.
