Score Cards turned in, translated to Morse Code and frantically transmitted to the tabulation laboratory.
While scores are being added up, the challenges and prizes go into overdrive. Ring of Fires will be sending dozens of discs onto the ground. CTPs will be twisted and reborn in various formats. Someone with emotional issues will try and explain what goes into a hotdog, leading to a shuffle of people casually trying to distance themselves from the conversation. A couple people with long drives will try and leave, but get looped into the 'one more game' cycle before resigning themselves to gathering thatch for the roof of their makeshift lean-to in the swamp near hole 17. Hopefully we can bribe a couple people to drag the ponds for those discs that normally go further but there must have been some wind or something.5:30pm - 6:00pm
Awards Ceremony immediately followed by the Shame Ceremony.
Finally, the championship belt will be given to the Ultimate Golfer.
Maybe another couple mini-games. Who knows. Have fun.

About this tournament
According to PDGA and PGA statistics, there have been over a dozen events in 2022 combined, and they were all competition based. As someone that is not very good at either ball or disc golf, I craved more than the relentless anguish of absolutely destroying any chance I had at finishing within the top 80% of the field by the end of the first hole. Between bouts of battering myself internally over my unrelenting failures, I thought "Yes, I'll just burn all of my discs and then smash my golf clubs with my other golf clubs until I have no more golf clubs"... Then it occurred to me... why not just have an event that focuses more on having fun with a strange format, lots of mini-games, fun challenges and instead of only paying dues for a computer to run an excel macro that calculates how bad I am, I put all that money into prizes for everyone! And that is how the Ultimate Golf Championship was born.
The first event was a blast. Kevin Steel won the one of a kind Grip6 championship belt. A championship belt so reasonable that it can be worn with pants, slacks or even a nifty pair of blue jean shorts. More importantly, everyone that attended won something. Even our unluckiest, down in the dirt, couldn't lead a monkey to a banana raffle, anonymous friend (name with held to prevent public humiliation) won a prize just for being the worst at winning prizes, so if Jeremy Pate can win something, you can too!
This year, we're working with our uncomfortably close friends at Breaking Aces again as well as our reasonably spaced friends at MVP Disc Sports, taking that same format, and leveling it up. Building out custom games of skill and chance. Utilizing the most cutting edge technology, like drones and wheels to capture aerial footage and move heavy things easier than carrying them. Pulling in Golf Related themed events, such as the Happy Gilmore Challenge. Adding events so dumb we couldn't resist but to add them to the list, like the Tortilla Long Drive Contest. We're bringing back the classics, like the Ring of Fire. We also are working around a small portion of the clock to manufacture new contests from the ground up.
This is an event you don't want to miss.
The winner gets a one of a kind Grip6 Championship Belt
Other Prizes include - Discs from Breaking Aces Disc Golf Store - Opening Day Red Wings Tickets - Gift Cards - Jean Short and more.
We are excited to announce that Zanfel has decided to sponsor the event. For those of us that are forced to explore the local fauna while trying to find our golf balls or discs, and don't notice how much Poison Ivy, Poison Oak and Sumac is rubbing all over us while we search, Zanfel is the difference between itching and scratching for days or getting back on the course, to get right back off the course and into more poisons.
We are also looking for local and national sponsors and contributors that would like to sponsor holes and/or events as well as additional prizes. All money and items received will go back into the event.
Disc Golf is fun.
Ball Golf is fun.
Have fun.
