    Check-In & Player Briefing (Base Camp)
    Player sign-in. Divisions communicated and signposted.
    Cafe Tango Coffee Crew will be on site ready to fuel you with hot drinks!

    10:40am - 10:45am

    WE WILL BEGIN WITH AN ALL PERSON EVENT PHOTO 10:40AM!
    Card plan communicated, safety and etiquette overview. Daily explanation/come together.

    10:50am - 12:10pm

    Round 1 - on the Berg Challenge Layout.

    12:15pm - 1:45pm

    LUNCH!
    60 minutes to rest, refuel, and connect. 15 minutes either side for finishing games/logistics.
    Empire Chicken food truck will be on site from approx 10am till about 2 and Cafe Tango coffee cart on site for most of the day.
    Informal putting games optional.

    1:50pm - 3:10pm

    Round 2 - on the Berg Challenge Layout.

    3:15pm - 4:05pm

    BERG BOMBER - Distance Challenge!
    Two throws per player — longest in each division wins.

    4:10pm - 4:50pm

    ACE-BERG Challenge!
    Two throws each at Jellie Park’s iconic ace hole — 12. A test of precision and nerve. Division winners and overall ace prize awarded.

    4:50pm - 5:15pm

    Prizegiving!
    Ceremony and wrap-up. Division podiums, challenge prizes, raffles, and acknowledgements.
    WE WILL END WITH ANOTHER PHOTO WITH PRIZES ETC!

Div1 Average Score: –6 or better NZD25
Div2 Average Score: –1 to –5 NZD25
Div3 Average Score: E to +4 NZD25
Div4 Average Score: +5 to +9 NZD25
Div5 Average Score: +10 or worse NZD25

Kia Ora and welcome to the BERG Challenge NZ 2026!

This one-day, BERG-only event is about community, creativity, and the unique flight of everyone’s favourite Swedish flying mountain. Hosted at Jellie Park in Christchurch, the day will feature two modified playing rounds, the Ace-BERG Challenge, and the BERG Bombers distance contest.

The event is non-profit and fully community-run with support from both local clubs as well as local businesses.
