We hope you and your family are well and remaining healthy during these uncertain times. Despite everything that’s going on, we still have one thing in common. We just want to play disc golf! Despite personal urges, we’ve complied with the PDGA and local government to maintain a focus on the well-being of our team, club supporters, event participants, as well as the long-term financial health of our organization.
Due to suspended sanctioning from the PDGA, uncertain availability of reschedule dates, recent stay at home orders in MO and the City of STL, and a halt to our own fundraising efforts, we regretfully cancel the 2020 St. Louis Open.
We have considered numerous options that would allow us to proceed, but a lot of pieces need to come together to make an A-Tier successful and we felt our members would be better served by putting the time and effort into an even better STLO in 2021.
Though it is difficult to understand the long-term impact of CV, we are certain that life will return to “normal” at some point. The steps we’ve taken allow us to successfully navigate one of the most trying times in recent history so we emerge stronger and more nimble to propel our sport into the future!
