Program runs Wednesday nights every week from May 6th to July 8th (except July 1). Start time is 6:30PM at Diefenbaker Park by the washrooms on the walk between basket 12 and hole 13, to the north of Optimist Hill.

About this tournament

We teach the fundamentals of disc golf to Saskatoon-area youth ages 7 to 18. The program will run for 9 Wednesday nights starting on May 6th and ending on July 8th (skip July 1). We start each evening promptly at 6:30pm with a quick dynamic stretching warm-up inspired by Disc Golf Strong, then a 30-minute clinic led by one of our many talented coaches, and then a 9-hole round to reinforce the concepts learned in the clinic. At about 7:45, participants will complete a fun coaches' challenge in attempt to win entries into the end-of-year prize draw! All sessions will end at 8:00pm.
Program cost is $50 per child. Participants receive a players' pack with items varying year-to-year, so you won't find any spoilers here!
This year we have 36 spots available. Supervising guardians and volunteers (see below) are not counted towards this 36 participant limit. Once all spots fill up, a waitlist will automatically be generated in Disc Golf Scene.
Each day we will meet by the washrooms on the walk between holes 3 and 4. Plan to get there BEFORE 6:30 as we will be kicking things off promptly on time!
Lessons will only be cancelled for lightning or other extreme weather. If it's pouring rain or even snowing, we are STILL ON, provided there is no lightning. If a week of lessons is cancelled, we will announce this before 4:00pm via email and via our Facebook page (please follow this page if you haven't already! https://www.facebook.com/SaskJuniorDG). We will also add another date to the program (July 15th) if weather cancels a lesson. However, if two or more weeks are cancelled, we will not be adding any more weeks to the program beyond July 15th.
If your child requires extra parent or guardian supervision for any reason, please contact Junior Program Organizer Sean Ahrends at [email redacted]. This will be no problem! I just need to know in advance.
