About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Welcome to the 2020 Ridge Runner brought to you by the Saint Charles County Disc Golf Club! This will be a PDGA sanctioned, two round tournament on the newly redesigned Quail Ridge Disc Golf Course.
As we all know, July can bring some extremely warm days. Therefore, tee time for the first round is at 8:00am so we can try to beat some of that heat. All MP and MA1 divisions will play their first round from the Blue tees, and their second round from the Reds Tees. All other divisions will play both rounds from the Red Tees. Layouts for each tee are shown in the attached images for download.
There will be NO LUNCH provided. We will have an hour between rounds for lunch starting when the final card finishes their first round.
Looking to top last year, we have put together one of the best raffles in recent times with plenty of great prizes to include: ZUCA LG Black Backpack disc golf cart, a Grip Equipment CS2 Bag, an Axiom Pro 24-Chain basket, and plenty more! Images will be added to show the updates on raffle prizes. Tickets can be purchased at registration with the additional selections, or they can be purchased at the event. Be sure to bring some extra cash!
There will be no CTP's at this time, but may be added later if COVID-19 restrictions loosen. Stay tuned for those updates.
There will be two separate Ace Pots in play that day. One will be a $5 buy in, which is for anyone in the tournament who chooses to buy in. If no Aces are hit for this one, a CTP throw off will be done immediately following the second round on hole 8 from the Red Tee.
The second will be a SCCDGC member ace pot ONLY. This one will be an additional $2 for all Club members. This is an additional selection that can be made at registration. SCCDGC memberships can be purchased at registration as well as the day of the tournament. For obvious reasons, you must be a club member prior to the first round to be able to buy in to the Ace Pot. If you have questions regarding this, please feel free to ask either John or myself.
With all of the COVID-19 issues currently, this event will be slightly different than normal (all of these being subject to change as Missouri State and PDGA restrictions evolve). We will be utilizing digital scorecards only, digital players meeting, and payouts will be post event, (posted online) where AMs can pick up their vouchers at the Smokin' Aces Disc Golf shop, and Pros will be paid out via PayPal. We will also have to abide by the social distancing rules of 6 feet at all times. No gathering and your lunch break will have to be at your car or you can picnic around the park as long as you abide by the 6 foot rule. Failure to abide by these rules will disqualify you from the event (again, subject to change).
We hope to see you out there for a great day of disc golf!
