About this tournament
MVP Circuit Challenge event at South Fork Landing - single round, shotgun start, unsanctioned singles event. Circuit Challenge events (https://mvpcircuitevents.com/) provide access to 3 exclusive discs including a new mold this year, the "Cypher", an under-stable fairway driver. All players will receive a 3-disc circuit challenge player pack, and must compete in the event exclusively with the discs received in their player pack.
Optionally at check in, you may also opt to purchase the annual Axiom watermelon disc (not eligible for play in the event), this year it is a soft proton tempo.
Check in will begin at 12PM. The tournament round will start at 2PM. Scoring will be using udisc.
Entry includes an automatic ace pot entry of $2 per player, and if no aces are hit during the round, there will be a "ring of fire" throw after all players have completed their rounds. If no one hits it, we'll use the closest disc as the winner. Ace pot will be paid directly, via venmo or paypal only. No cash or scrip.
There is a single division that all players will enter. The best score on each card will receive their choice of a bonus "lab second" disc from the MVP family of brands, offered from a selection of discs ordered by best overall score. Players can select their starting hole at check-in.
While this event is unsanctioned, players are expected to follow standard PDGA rules of play. The course layout will be the standard south fork layout, with the exception of using the "short" (old) tees on holes 4 and 18. Par is 58 (holes 2, 5, 13 and 18 will be scored as par 4, all other holes as par 3). This is an ideal event for players of all levels, those seeking to gain experience (or play their first event) in a tournament setting, or for experienced players alike.
