We're excited for Ideal Open 2024 at Mohegan Park, hosted by Ideal Skate Shop, and the Ideal Frequent Flyers. This is a two round tournament at Mohegan Park Disc Golf, 189 Mohegan Park Rd, Norwich CT 06360 on April 6th and 7th 2024.
All divisions except for FA, and JRs will play the first round on April 6th on the Silver layout, and the second round on April 7th on the Gold layout. The FA, and JRs will play both rounds on the Silver layout. Rounds on day 1 will be randomly selected tee times by division, with rounds on the final day selected by score and division. We have CTPs for both rounds. We will have PRO payouts, and player packs for the AMs that will include a limited event disc and other goodies. Divisions with 3 or less registered players may be merged.
A note about PDGA scoring changes for 2024. Each player must keep an independent scorecard recording scores after each hole for the entire group. A player who refuses to keep score may be subject to disqualification. In order to simplify this, scoring will be kept on PDGA.COM/SCORE and the PDGA Live, it is a free app to download, and you do not need to be a PDGA member to keep score during the tournament, there will be an access code. Paper cards will be available upon request, however this adds much more time at the end of the round when players reconcile scorecards before submitting within 30 mins of the end of your round.
*Tournament Day schedule is tentative, and may shift slightly throughout the day, which will be communicated to players.
