About this tournament
2 rounds of play
We're back with our second annual Good Vibes Open. This year we are also hosting a Women's Global Event within GVO. This tournament will also be part of the Birds In Paradise Series!
The PDGA requires we provide you with a per player breakdown of pass-through fees:
- Course fees: $20 which includes weekend play pass and lunch
- TD fee: $3, which is used to pay for trophies, prizes and event supplies
- Birds in Paradise Series fee: $1
- PDGA fee: $3
Raffle will be during awards. Proceeds of the raffle will be split 50/50 between the Women's Series and Good Vibes Ranch maintenance fund.
Ladies, we’ve got something special for you! All female players (and kids!) can come to the crafting table in the clubhouse during the lunch break on Saturday and make your own WGE keepsake to take home.
WGE Layout will be slightly different than the GVO Layout to keep the ladies scores separate (if we get enough players). There will be alternate short tee pads for FP/FA60+, FJ12 and younger, FA2, FA3 and FA4 to make this a fun rewarding experience…run those putts and go for those ace runs!
Format and layout for the following divisions: FA60 and older, FP65 and older, and MP70. In order to participate in the WGE global competition, players need to complete 2 rounds of at least 13 holes each round. These divisions will play 2 rounds (from the Shorts) of 13 holes on Saturday.
For the 13 hole Shorts layout, the holes eliminated are 7, 10, 11, 14, 15 and 16 as they involve more challenging terrain. If you are a player in these divisions and you want to play the full 18 layout for 2 rounds, please "play up" into a lower age protected or non-age protected division. Please contact me if you have any questions about choosing your best division to get your preferred layout/format.
Thank you for the generous support of our Birds in Paradise Series Sponsors: Andy & Terri Carver, Dolonna Brush, San Diego Aces, Indigo Brude, DRYVE Disc Golf, Aggie Wein, Circle One, James Bandy, Stephanie Ma & Brian Prusneck, Tita Ugalde, Juliana Korver & Jim Oates, Jamie Spencer, Yvette Sotello & Susie Sexton, and Inspired Coffee Roasters.
Many thanks also to the local player volunteers who have stepped up to help with this event: Terri & Andy Carver, Sharlene Harness, and our Kid Crew: Violet, Nathan and Katie. Eric Ducharme and his Sunday work crew have been working hard to keep the course in great condition all year round and also leading up to our Good Vibes Open + WGE.
We sincerely appreciate your help with supporting a safe, fun, and well-coordinated event.
