The Birds in Paradise is a series of women's events by women for women. Our goal is to elevate the Southern California women's disc golf community and grow the sport for women overall by offering fun, competitive events where women can improve their disc golf skills in a welcoming, friendly, encouraging and most importantly fun environment!
How do I qualify for the finale event?
Everyone qualifies! The 2026 points competition will be finished at the last event (likely in October), which will be BEFORE the finale event. Trophies will be awarded for points winners per division and other awards will be presented at the finale banquet.
How do the points work?
For each event, players earn 1- points for participation, 3 points for every player they beat in their division. Points can't be transferred between divisions. If your rating is going up, you should "play up" because you will likely be forced to move up if your rating goes above these thresholds:
FA1- 825+ (if your rating goes above 825, PDGA will not allow you to play in a lower division)
FA2- 775 to 824
FA3- 725-774
FA4- less than 725
Age protected divisions and juniors don't have any minimum or maximum ratings.
