About this tournament

Welcome to the 2026 First Run Open! This year we are trying something new that we think will be popular for our players. Entry fees for the event will remain similar to the past at $50 however this year we are NOT sanctioning this event through the PDGA. Instead, players will sign up for ratings based divisions, all of which will receive a small players pack with the rest of the money after fees and trophy costs going towards payout. That's right! ALL DIVISIONS WILL RECEIVE CASH PAYOUT!!!! The goal is to have $30+ of the $50 entry fee in the payout pool for the division in which you sign up.
To be eligible for all divisions EXCEPT for the gold divisions, players must have a PDGA rating from the last 12 months. All players that do not have a PDGA rating in the last 12 months will be required to play in the Gold division.
There is an ace pool for $3 additional dollars that will be pool specific. If the ace pot isn't hit in your pool, it will go to the other pool if someone in that pool aces. If no aces are hit in either pool, the entire ace pot will go towards the 50/50 raffle (also $3) and one winner will be picked at random to win 50% of the 50/50 and ace pot total.
While this event this is not PDGA sanctioned, the PDGA rulebook will be used in this event to foster fair play and a tournament atmosphere concurrent with PDGA sanctioned play. This event is not a league or a homegrown event so please respect the rules and expectations for player conduct.

Refund policy
First Run Disc Golf is responsible for all refunds and cancellations. All refund requests within 5 days of the start of the event will receive a 100% refund. All refund requests inside the 5 day window will receive a 100% refund if there is someone on the waitlist to take your spot. If there is not a waitlist, you will receive a 50% refund. Any no shows for round 1 will not receive a refund.
