About this tournament

We are excited to announce the inaugural “Disc Golf HQ Open”!

With stores in both Phoenix and Mesa (as well as a new online shop), Disc Golf HQ has become a growing presence as a disc golf retailer in AZ and across the country. Thus, we have chosen to partner with them to host this very special Pro/Am tournament at the beautiful ViewPoint Golf Resort in Mesa, AZ. Our ultimate goal with this event is to have it grow annually and show course management that a permanent disc golf course on their property is financially viable. We hope you will be a part of this effort!

This will be a 2-day, PDGA sanctioned B-Tier event, with Tee-Times on both days for all divisions. Because we are able to use the entire property, there will be two very different 18 hole layouts. The Long layout will be designed for the Pro divisions (and MA1), while the Short layout will be for all other Amateur divisions. The Long layout will be designed by Pete Ulibarri and will be appropriately challenging for those divisions playing it.

This will be a walking event. With two separate layouts - each of which will only comprise a portion of the property - golf carts would be impractical. Due to over-seeding, the carts would not be allowed off the cart paths, so we have chosen to not use carts for this tournament.

For our Pro Divisions, our added cash value is currently over $1500, with more sponsors to come. As a B-Tier event, Pro Payouts will be 100% of net entry fees plus any added cash, with a minimum of 40% of the competitors in each pro division receiving a payout.

For the Amateur divisions, this will be a “True Amateur” event, with trophies being provided as follows:

2-4 players - 1st place only
5-12 players - 1st and 2nd place
13+ players - 1st through 3rd place

All other Amateur Player value will be provided in the form of players packs.

Registration Details:
Early Registration begins July 25th, 2025 for Hole Sponsors only. Hole Sponsorships are $25, and will include an additional 10 Raffle Tickets (a $10 value), as well as custom tee-signs displayed on the course for each of these valuable Sponsors.

Open Registration begins August 1st, 2025 for ALL other divisions.

Registration closes October 10th, 2025.

The “Finer Details”:

Jerseys:
All Amateur players will receive a custom sublimated jersey as part of their players packs. You will have to choose a size for this jersey in the drop down menu. Pro players will also have an opportunity to add a jersey to their registration for an additional $46 dollars. Any player who registers after (final date pending) will not receive their jersey until after the event is complete, and will be contacted by a tournament director to arrange for pickup or delivery at a future date (any shipping costs will be the player’s responsibility). Should a registered player choose to withdraw AFTER the jerseys have been ordered, they will not receive a refund for the jersey, but will still be able to pick it up when they are made available.

Raffle Tickets:
All players have the option to purchase up to 13 raffle tickets at a reduced price during registration: 3 tickets for $5.00, and 10 tickets for $10.00. While additional raffle tickets will be available to purchase on Saturday of the tournament, they will be $2.00 each at that time. Raffle winners will be displayed at Tournament Central on Sunday morning of the event.
We are working on some great prizes for the raffle!

Special Sponsorships:
All players and non-participants have the opportunity to contribute to this event as a special sponsor. These sponsorship tiers are not tied to early registration. They range in value from $25.00 to $500.00, and the higher level sponsorships ($100 and above) include additional perks. Please see the "Sponsor Book" in the documents section for details on those tiers.

Pass Through Fees are $58.00 per player
- $4.00 PDGA per player fee
- $50.00 for Green Fees ($25 per player/per day)
- $4.00 Tournament Directors’ Fee
