Welcome to Kick Out The Yams! This event will have on-site payouts (for AMs) after the conclusion of
round 2. This will serve as your Player Meeting. Check in will run from 7:45am-8:40am. Hole assignments should be ready shortly after. 1st round tees at 9:00am. Round 2 will tee off one hour after the last card is turned in for round 1.
Big thank you to all that are donating those canned goods! This goes a long way to help those that are in need. Thank you to Discraft /CCR for the baskets for the raffle this year. Black Vinyl Discs for providing the CTPs for each division and another to all who are bringing extra goodies to go towards the raffle prizes.
Please be sure to use spotters where needed. Holes where you cannot see the basket (13 from the long
pad) truly needs someone spotting. There are a lot of leaves on the ground so please be mindful and try to watch your shots and your card mates’ shots to help keep pace of play moving as smoothly as
possible.
All Divisions will be playing 6A (Hole 6 on the road/walking path). MPO, FPO, MP40, MA1 and MA2 will play from the long pads. All other divisions will be playing short 5 and 13 (noted on your score card).
Most OB will be defined by either a road or by water, so use your best judgement when making a call. If the group is unsure, the favor should swing to the player in question. If for whatever reason this is not possible, a provisional throw is advised and should be scored separately and brought to me for a final ruling. If this is the case, your whole card needs to be present so that once the ruling is made, you can all adjust scores and digitally submit them.
Casual water relief will be any water that is not noted on your scorecard or the OB list below. Casual water relief is available to players rule 806.03. A. Casual area or casual water, or any area specifically designated as a casual area by the Director before the round. Casual water is any body of water that is in-bounds and has not been explicitly declared by the Director to be in play. B. To obtain relief from a casual area, the player's lie may be relocated without penalty to the nearest lie which is farther from the target and is on the line of play, at the nearest point that provides relief.
We are using digital scoring for this event and every player must keep score (no exceptions). You can use the PDGA app or pdga.com/score to do so. YAMS2024 is your access code.
