I was privileged to be off on this beautiful September 11th (NEVER FORGET) to play PFW, which was absolutely packed with disc golfers. It felt good to have a drop in birdie on the previous hole, and it felt even better to see my pink Roc miss all of the trees on the right and softly hyzer absolutely dead center into the heart of the chains. Looking forward to more pleasant surprises now that fall is upon us!

After playing Eckhart Park with Chris Stirlen, I decided to check out Ocker Park for the first time before it got too dark. Hole two is very short, and my Supersoft Wizard never left the pole out of my hand, so I was pleasantly surprised to hit an ace. This is my first ace since my sister Abby went to her heavenly home, so that made it a little extra special. RIH Abby, I love you!

Metal Mania was running wild at Moser Park today playing with “One Time” 1989 McDonald’s employee of the month, Christopher Stirlen. I hit dead center high of off the face mask on hole ten, sniffed the top of hole 18, blew up the chains on hole 2 that spit out left, and somehow missed on the right side of hole five. A smooth standstill off the tee pad on hole 7 finally brought me the result I had been looking for! If you play Moser in its current condition, you might feel “Welcome in the Jungle” or it could be a “Little Shop of Horrors,” but bring your machete and bug spray either way!

Eric “Outta Town” Brown gets the assist since I decided to play Moser after stopping by his house. Hard hyzer line with the super soft Wizard that just cleared the tray for the dead center explosion! “Oh, Ace train sounding louder, glide on the Ace train!!”

Out at Moser today with my buddy Chris Stirlen to celebrate his 50th birthday. We started on the back nine, and not only did Chris get his birthday ace on hole 10, but it was also his very first ace ever! I hit the basket on hole 13, then again on hole 18, and vaporized hole three with an explosion that spit the disc out of the backside of the basket. I finally decided to join the #metoo ace party with a dead center SS Wizard that hit absolutely dead center for the “one.”
I didn’t even have to use my AK…I gotta say it was a good day.

Today I went to Moser Park to honor my friend Jeremy Moore who ignited my passion for disc golf. Jeremy unexpectedly passed away on 7-12-2021, and today would have been his 49th birthday. I was with Jeremy when he hit his fist ace with his pop-top Buzzz on hole 7. I acquired that very disc from his brother Chris, and aced the same hole with that same disc today in celebration of his birthday. That disc is now retired. Rest in heaven Jeremy.

Second round in a row with an ace! I heard “Magic Man” while driving to the park, and the magic definitely showed up on hole three! Forehand skip with my orange champion Ape that hit dead center for the “one.” Also the second ace ever witnessed by my cohorts Chris Stirlin and Andrew May! It’s always a good time at Moser, and even better when you see your disc resting in the tray as you walk down the fairway! Get some!!

After a long ace drought and a center chains spit out on hole 14 the week prior, I got back on the ace train with a soft hyzer that had nowhere else to go. This was the first ace ever witnessed by my two cohorts Andrew May and Chris Stirlin. Before I threw, I told them “let’s make some chain music” for the 25 cub scouts that were meeting in the pavilion. This is also the same hole where Jeremy Moore (the person who got Chris and myself into disc golf) hit his very first ace! So appropriate that this is my first ace since he passed away in July. Thank you Jeremy! Fly on brother!! You are missed

I don’t expect aces on the single chain baskets when I throw at Christ’s Hope Church (o ye of little faith), so it was a nice “blessing” to witness my Roadrunner hit dead center for the “one” on hole three. I also thought it was quite fitting to ace the hole that represents the Trinity on a course located at a church! God is good! Lastly, this was also Mark Claus’ birthday ace, and Jason Smith set the new course record at Moser Park today with a -18! Good stuff!!

Another beautiful Friday at Moser Park with my buddy Eric “Downtown” Brown! I had an inkling to throw my newer King instead of the beat in Destiny and it ended up paying huge dividends for me on hole 18. Acing this hole is very satisfying to my disc golf appetite, and also seeing Eric ace hole 5 today made for some good dessert! Keep slinging them discs!!

Hit my first ace at PFW today playing with my friend and fellow Firefighter John Otto. It was quite nice to watch my putter hit dead center on a hard hyzer that had no where else to go. I threw the same chip hyper forehand Ape that decided to cleanly wedge itself into the bottom of the tray for the ace. Now I’m not exactly sure if it was Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, Frank Beard, or my buddy Eric Brown (who actually had more metal hits today than an episode of Headbangers Ball) that brought the good juju out to Moser, but one thing I do know for certain is that “every girl’s crazy about a sharped dressed ace”...and that it was.

I stumbled upon ZZ-Top on the #12 tee pad today at Moser, and they were kind enough to let me play through. I could see that they had both just thrown Park City Utah valet park job kick-ins right next to the basket, so I said “no pressure.” They then encouraged me to one up them, and told me to just throw it in the basket. Well, my champion Ape obliged with a sawed off forehand chip-hyzer and a tickle-tickle treedirection right into the heart of the chains. I never witnessed the “Eliminator Tour” in person, but I was glad they “gave me all their lovin, all their hugs and aces too.”

I hit dead center and spit out on this hole the day prior, so it was nice to exact revenge the very next day by throwing my first ace with a JK Pro Aviar-X that I had recently put in the bag. It was also my second ace of the day, and I just barely missed completing the hat trick later with a left side chains tickle-tickle on hole 7 with this same disc. Good times with Eric “Downtown” Brown, and I look forward to many more!

Playing with Eric “Downtown” Brown on a beautiful Friday afternoon at Moser Park, I threw a back hand hyzer that skipped right into the heart of the basket for the ace. The basket was kind enough to gently cradle my disc, that is until I was close enough to break the social distance rule of six feet to retrieve it. My first time skip-acing this hole was a pleasant surprise, and it left me singing “my, my, my, my Corona” as I walked to the 14th tee.

After aces on holes 4 & 8 today, hole 16 would provide the best opportunity to complete the hat trick since it is the most aced hole in the area. The crazy thing is that the "Ace Man" Eric Brown sent me a text as I approached the tee. That text must've had some special secret squirrel juju attached because I threw the same Supersoft Wizard from hole 8 dead center to achieve the rare feat of three aces in one day. A couple walking along the path were witnesses to the throw and my obnoxiously loud exclamation of "I got it!!" Very surreal to say the least!!

So I'm standing on hole 8 teepad and I call Eric Brown to tell him about my ace on hole 4, and to see if he'll be here when I make the turn on hole 10. I hang up my phone and throw my Wizard that Eric so graciously retrieved for me recently out of the water on this very same hole and I throw it on a soft hyzer dead center that had no where else to go but in the basket. I called Eric right back to thank him for the good juju. Another reason I love disc golf...you just can't make this stuff up!

I'm on hole four teepad waiting for a group of about 50 bikes to pass heading one way and a walker approaching the other. As soon as a safe window of opportunity opened I threw my Destiny (not listed) on a soap on a rope anhyzer that never got higher then the basket and flexed dead center right in the heart to the cheers of the last 10 or so bikers watching. I hope seeing that ace created a little thirst for some of those bikers to try playing disc golf! Beautiful Sunday at Moser!

Started on the back nine and hit/sniffed some metal, then continued with bad intentions which led to a center cut hyzer that hit dead center in the heart of hole 2. Pleasantly surprised since I just hit my first ace of 2018 two days prior. Eric "Downtown" Brown likes to bring the good juju special delivery, and today he did not disappoint. The couple walking along the trail with their youngling also had a front row seat, but thankfully there is no cover charge at Moser to watch the MOB Series Buzzz do work!

With the threat of the Eurythmics "Here Comes The Rain Agian" Friday's at Moser still make for a good time. My forehand high fly ball chip hyzer went way back and almost gone until the trees made a friendly elevator grab that finished with a soft clunk into the basket. It was a pleasant surprise, and it's nice to know how Eric "Downtown" Brown feels when he aces hole 5. My last two aces have actually come from discs that Eric has so graciously bequeathed me. It's nice that Eric not only shares in the aces at Moser, he even GIVES me discs that have good juju....Cuz it's all about that Ace!!
