We had just about every pro want their money through PayPal. Unfortunately I did not have enough in PayPal to cover everyone today. There are about a half dozen in the MPO that are yet to be paid. If you are in any other pro division and don't see your money, message me! I have money transferring into PayPal and should be able to settle up with the last few in a couple days. I would like to point out that I was able to pay everyone completely in cash if everyone were to have come to the hotel to claim there stuff.

Maybe payouts at the course we played would have worked a little better something to think about next year. Also would not not mind hearing why I played in a 5 some today at an A-Tier event with 72 pros? You can pm me details

As I explained in another post. I was asked by Dave to be moved up to make a 5 some on the lead card. As it was the year he was being inducted into the HoF I decided to allow it. Any other year, I would not have done it. I didn't think it was going to upset as many pros as it apparently did or as much. As a pro, I've played in fivesomes, I've played in small groups behind big groups. I've had to wait on every hole. I've dealt with it. If I were playing in this situation I may have disagreed with the decision as well. I would have sucked it up and moved on. I might even ask the TD about it, but the way some have acted towards me has been unreal. I'm sorry that this has outraged so many. I tried to do something nice for this year's HoF inductee and thought that everyone might understand, but obviously I was wrong. I won't do it again! Is there anymore we need to hear on this?

Larry, because you allowed something not even permitted by the PDGA (no super groups for video except for first round with prior approval of the PDGA tour manager) when two of our cardmates didn't show we couldn't split into two 5 somes, and instead had two 3somes behind the slow 5some with video coverage. 25+ minutes every hole. Every. Hole. If you're not going to follow the rules, don't tell me to suck it up.

Drew I have acknowledge I made a mistake. It was not done for video purposes. If Dave didn't ask, it wouldn't have happened. I made a bad decision. You run stuff. You ever make a decision people disagree with? 25minutes on every hole is 7.5 hours. Your round was 7.5 hours? I'll fully admit I made a wrong choice but I still this fivesome issue IS being made to be a bigger issue then it should be. I've apologized. Said I won't do it again. Now you're telling me that there would have been 2 fivesomes because of no shows instead of the 1 I allowed.

2 5 somes would have flowed better than two 3s behind it, and another in the middle of the field. Perhaps not 25 minutes, its hard to keep track when you're just standing there boiling in the heat. I think the primary problem with your apologies is that they seemed to be qualified with reasons why people should take on the burden of that apology. Don't tell me a story about how you sucked it up, make a formal apology, reconigize the specifics of the problems, what you'll do to address them going forward, and follow that up with actual action. I can't speak to what others have said in terms of calling names or insulting you, but I haven't done those.

Drew, I've been asked to explain my decision. I've tried to do that to the best of my ability and all people are doing is twisting it around. I've played pro for a long time and have even been on the lead card at worlds. As a player, I would have more or less rolled with the decision. Like I said before, as a player, I may have also disagreed with the decision, but I wouldn't have let it work me up as much as others have (sucked it up). I thought others would want to help celebrate Dave and roll with the decision to help honor him. Afterall, it is the HoF tournament. That was what I was thinking about when I made the decision. I am not telling you or anyone else to suck it up. I am totally surprised by the reaction of so many people. I've apologized for it multiple times and tried to explain this. I've put 3 somes in the middle of the field before to help flow with the overall course. If all 3 somes are all at the bottom, then the bottom moves quicker while the flow in the middle is slow and a 3 some there can help things move a little quicker. While I acknowledge my decision was a mistake, I do feel that the outrage for it is way overboard and the things directed at me have been extremely disappointing from a disc golf community I have loved. People piling on. Not sure what I need to say more than what I have said. I've said it won't happen again. I highly doubt that another HoF member will be in 5th place open heading into the last round on the night of their induction ceremony and ask me to be part of the lead card. If that somehow happens again I will tell them NO.

It kinda seems like the only thing you’re sorry about is that people are pissed, like you’re sorry they couldn’t handle it or something, not so much sorry for your poor decision making that didn’t include much consideration for those that it would affect...ie you made the decision for your own reasons and now your only care is to downplay the results in an attempt to minimize the backlash....like the saying goes, you’re not really sorry you’re only sorry you got caught is the way it’s coming out
