Good morning, players. We are less that a week away from the tournament. The logistics side of this tournament is definitely causing some stress on my end, but I’m confident that it will work out and we will have a great tournament.
I wanted to update everyone on a couple new developments.
First, Parking. All participants will be required to park at the Culpeper United Methodist Church that was mentioned in the virtual players meeting. From there, all players are encouraged to use the cross way at the intersection of Blue Ridge Rd. And Madison Rd. Where the traffic light is located. It’s about a 100’ walk from the parking lot. This is a safety concern from the Town, which I hope everyone will adhere to, in order to pave the way for future tournaments in Culpeper. The other issue is, the splash pad is having their grand opening the same day as the tournament and the Town wants the park parking lot available for park goers.
Second, The temporary basket for Hole 7 will be placed, and the temporary tee for Hole 18 will be marked Thursday evening in order to allow participants to practice the new holes on Friday before the tournament. We have requested the town mow the grass, but I don’t know if that will happen. We will have to make the best of what the town provides.
If you haven’t watched the virtual players’ meeting, please make sure you watch it, with the updates listed here, in mind.

Disc Golf tournaments is a new concept for the Town and they really have no idea what to expect or need, so I am counting on the disc golf community to come together as the great ambassadors we are, and show the Town of Culpeper what we can bring to the town so they will be eager to help this tournament grow in the future. I’m looking forward to seeing and meeting you all on Saturday.
