I have reached out to BG authorities, general attorney and parks departments. They all have come to the conclusion that this is a civil suit and unless we can prove that Doc planned the event to scam everyone there’s nothing they can do. We will have to get an attorney and file a civil class action lawsuit against Doc and Combat Disc Golf. Since Combat Disc Golf is no more, they said it would more than likely do nothing as criminal charges can’t be filed even if he doesn’t pay. It is frustrating to get emails from the PDGA stating the hundreds of us that didn’t receive anything are “SOL”. At the least we could have gotten a membership for free or discounted over the course of x years. Unprofessional on their part to say that a paying customer is SOL and to not even ban Doc or suspend him. Hopefully in the future there will be some sort of protection for us as people now know they can get away with stealing $40k+
