There are some allowances for early registration for club members, sponsors, volunteers and certain groups like women. I would have taken advantage of them if I had known the registration would fill in under 2 minutes. Next time I will know and offer those options. Using all of those options available to me I could have held 10 AM spots (no more than 1/3 of the field). I chalk it up to “live and learn”

Understandable. I'm just happy you volunteer to put these on. Just seems like the PDGA is dropping the ball on this, for their sanctioned tournaments. I believe that would be a real perk to maintaining the membership. Especially now that the sport is growing so much.
