Understand that this will be a very different tournament that what any of us are used to. We have to adhere to some strict guidelines. You must not get to the course more than 10 minutes before your scheduled tee time. If you need to warm up, find someplace else to do it.
You must be ready to tee off at your scheduled time. If you are late, standard par+4 scoring will be in effect.
You are NOT to congregate at the course. You are responsible for your own food and water the entire day. No water will be provided. I have no idea if our restrooms will be open by then, but I would count on them not being open.
If anyone isn't happy with any of this, that is fine, please don't come and play. I'm not happy about this. I would like to play myself but can't. I would have liked to have a custom stamped disc for this tournament, but we will not. I would like to not have a 52 player cap, but we do.
My goal here is to provide a PDGA sanctioned tournament that not overly expensive, allow people to compete on a great course and get some rated rounds in, and in the process help raise some funds for the Friends of Punderson group that I am a part of, and oversees the maintenance of the course.
We are still in discussion on what a player pack may look like, as well as how we are going to handle payouts.
Also remember that things can, and probably will change between now and June 13th. I'm trying to do the best I can in a short amount of time with a fluid situation.
