So this 8-8-2 rule comes down to this: a minimum of 8 drives from each player for each round of 18. It's a strategy game to add balance to each team. I personally recommend balancing out what players drive to take, so you still have choices on the last few holes. Nick's description is accurate as well. Let me know if there is any more explanation needed. We'll cover this in the player meeting too of course.
