So there is no way to hold a spot maybe with PayPal or something? 300 mile round trip to hope I have spot isnt going to happen.

It's easy to pull out of towners who sign up timely.
Hence the 2/3 of the field that's from outside the Shoals.
The only reason I can play is because of the change of schedule. Maybe you should keep your comments to yourself??? Lol you aren't that smart I reckon
It is a TD decision on the number of people and how things are being done. I am just the secretary.
There was no "timely" sign up available after the decision to go to a one day event was made. I personally could not do a 2-day event this weekend, but now that it's only one day, I might be able to play, but driving over an hour to find out all spots are gone isn't a viable option.

We are trying to do the best we can...we have never had a problem like this before with having to cancel rounds and change the format of the tournament. All we can do is try to work within the guidelines. I understand driving and not being assured of a spot...

Walker, you have to learn disc golfers are very sensitive. You can present facts and they will personally attack you. Or just laugh and don’t give a crap like me.
I mean if they're facts about aerodynamics I totally understand that. That stuff confuses the mess out of me (s/o to whomever reckons I'm not so smart - I reckon you aren't so wrong).

Walker, cater to the disc golfer’s needs. Don’t be blunt and to the point like me. When u run an event down south, make sure u don’t start on time as many will be left out and feelings will be hurt.

The only part of that I can imagine being vaguely debatable is excluding Franklin County from my definition of the Shoals. It also bears pointing out that of today's eventual field, at least 79 were from outside Lauderdale and Colbert counties. Again, making it tough or unattractive for out of towners to play was far from "the desired effect" as you suggested, and I remain disappointed that you would make such a suggestion of Mr. Boatwright's intentions.
