There was no "timely" sign up available after the decision to go to a one day event was made. I personally could not do a 2-day event this weekend, but now that it's only one day, I might be able to play, but driving over an hour to find out all spots are gone isn't a viable option.

We are trying to do the best we can...we have never had a problem like this before with having to cancel rounds and change the format of the tournament. All we can do is try to work within the guidelines. I understand driving and not being assured of a spot...

But wait Walker said....Walker doesn't speak for SFC...Will and Beth were both courteous and helpful in every manner. I'm going to donate a Galactic McPro Aviar for them to use how they choose. Thanks again Beth and Will

Walker, cater to the disc golfer’s needs. Don’t be blunt and to the point like me. When u run an event down south, make sure u don’t start on time as many will be left out and feelings will be hurt.

I said you could register by showing up early. The couple dozen people who in fact did so agree. I said it was easy to attract out of town participants who preregister, for which assertion I offered as support the fact that (as of that writing) 2/3 (50 of 75) of the field lived outside the Shoals area. The only part of that I can imagine being vaguely debatable is excluding Franklin County from my definition of the Shoals. It also bears pointing out that of today's eventual field, at least 79 were from outside Lauderdale and Colbert counties. Again, making it tough or unattractive for out of towners to play was far from "the desired effect" as you suggested, and I remain disappointed that you would make such a suggestion of Mr. Boatwright's intentions.
