Maverick 2018 Disc Golf Series Driven by INNOVA Champion Discs
Welcome to the Maverick 2018 Disc Golf Series Driven by INNOVA Champion Discs.
2017 started the first Maverick Disc Golf Series, and it gets better in 2018. The point system is being redesigned, the year-end payout purse is expanding, Educational Disc Golf Experience (E.D.G.E.) will be a series sponsor, and a tour card is available for discounted entry fees.
Year-end payouts and raffle
The year-end payout is increasing to $600 merchandise credit. The merchandise credit will be available to both Pro and Amateur divisions and will be redeemed at INNOVA’S Pro shop (https://proshop.innovadiscs.com/ ).
Additionally, there will be six large ticket items that will include an INNOVA DISCatcher Pro 28, a mid-grade INNOVA basket, an INNOVA DISCatcher Sport and a Traveler or Skillshot. There will also be two bags given, a ProtoBag (professional level bag) and a Super Hero Pack. These items will be rewarded at the end of the season via a drawing. Each tournament you play in, regardless of division, will get you one entry. The more tournaments you play; the more entries you will have.
Revamped point structure
The points structure will be similar to the Kansas City Mini Series where you will receive points that equal the percentage of players you beat regardless of division. If you play in more than one division, the division you played the most often will become your official series division. Whereas last year the points were accumulated across all 9 events, this year it will be the best 7 of 10 events with a 4 event minimum to qualify for the bonus payout. For those events that have split divisions on two different days, if you choose to play both days, they both count towards your 4 and 7 event thresholds.
For events that do not have a minimum of 72 players, ‘virtual players’ will be included in the percentages to push everyone score up. Therefore, it is advantageous to attend even the smaller events.
In total, this amounts to over $1800 worth of product given by INNOVA directly to you for participating (and excelling in case of the point finishes) in tournaments that are a part of the Maverick DG Series Driven by INNOVA.
Tour Pass
By request from players, there will be a tour pass that can be purchased to insure you get into all of the events and will include a discount to save money. Players with a tour pass are pre-registered before the event opens for registration.
Passes must be paid in cash or check. PayPal will not be accepted. No refunds will be given of any sort. A limit of one event for the whole series may be transferred to another player in the same division or higher (if the full price difference is paid for the higher division)
