So, I did not do very well last league day at Fallasburg. The statistics complied on Discgolscene are confusing. That is, on the Fallasburg page, the long-tee-18 used by our league shows it as 58 par. Yet they have my league scored as though the par is 54. Of course, the total of strokes is what matters most. But, I have recently been concerned that people are lagging behind the modern expectations where par 3 holes are no longer presumed. I get weird looks when I have the card and someone says, "par", and I say, "what's that." PDGA strokes people who mark a hole with a "-". The reason? ...not all holes have the same par. Just like they did in ball golf in the 19th century.
